This looks just like the one that I had, except for the words on the baseball.In the late 1950's I used to keep all of my baseball cards in a cigar box. The inside cover had half of a plastic baseball stuck to the cover. The cigar brand was Phillies. Was the cigar named after the baseball team in Philadelphia?

You're right. One rarely sees them any more. I've switched to shoe boxes...I miss the old cigar boxes and they were a part my growing up. Tons of uses and somehow.....just special.
