You either hate him or ya love him and sometimes maybe run hot and cold - this is being heralded as one of his greatest in his twilight years? It's a love song about a lady he just cannot forget. you may need to listen to it multiple times to get the gist? If ya want me to put up the words I can do that as a xmas gift?

I loved his early folk period when he was acoustic and he and Joan Baez were an :item"
Disliked him when he became electric and shunned Joan
Now I pity him

I used to listen to BD but that was a long time ago.

never really liked him much but i am a fellow musician and appreciate the ethetics? - he is a sorta national icon - - and I find this one strangely romantic?

I'd love to know the words, can't seem to understand them.

I've loved BD since I was in my early 20s and haven't stopped once since. I'm speaking of his work only.

Bob Dylan is an acquired taste, I think. I tried to play him for my kids when they were younger, but they hated it. (They didn't like Jimi Hendrix, either. )

I've seen him in concert twice, both in 1990. He was surly and unfriendly at the first concert but completely different at the second one. Musta caught him on an off night that first time. I was annoyed, though; I'd paid a lot of money and spent a lot of time to get there, and I found his attitude off-putting, although I can't say I was surprised.

I've never liked him for years and years ever since he began - but this one is rather quirky and sorta more mature - grandaddy style?

Verse 1]
Most of the time
I'm clear focused all around
Most of the time
I can keep both feet on the ground
I can follow the path, I can read the signs
Stay right with it when the road unwinds
I can handle whatever I stumble upon
I don't even notice she gone
Most of the time

[Verse 2]
Most of the time
It's well understood
Most of the time
I wouldn't change it if I could
I can make it all match up, I can hold my own
I can deal with the situation right down to the bone
I can survive, I can endure
And I don't even think about her
Most of the time

[Verse 3]
Most of the time
My head is on straight
Most of the time
I'm strong enough not to hate
I don't build up illusion till it makes me sick
I ain't afraid of confusion no matter how thick
I can smile in the face of mankind
Don't even remember what her lips felt like on mine
Most of the time

the words imo have deep meanings - sound simple on the surface but beneath emotionally a different story?

I became a big fan of Bob Dylan late in my life....he has greatly impacted the music world by changing the rules with his not always pleasing voice and lyrics that can open minds.
