I had no idea this place or any like it (SF) existed. Stumbled onto it in a 'net search and thought "wth", joined.

I had absolutely NO idea there were so many of us in similar circumstances, struggling with the same issues, thankful for the same things. For years, I had given up, I had made my own bed and now had to lie in it. I have felt so alone and here you all are!

It isn't just Me. Who knew?

Something led me here. Thank you!

My mother always felt better knowing she was not alone in her arthritis pain. Support groups are formed so people can express their grief, addictions or whatever and know they are not alone. I'm glad you are finding SF a good place to hang out and express yourself. Good group of people here from all around the world. It really is a very cool place with several convenient features. Happy Holidays and

Welcome from Toronto. Where are you living ? Not a specific place, but what country ? As Goofy said to Pluto in the cartoons.... "There a whole new world in here". JIM.

I found Senior Forums when I was in a very vulnerable frame of mind. I joined after I had just lost my husband of 49 years. This was in 2013.
It wasn’t easy to get started .. in fact, in about 3 weekds of trying to act ’normal’ on here and give it a go, I had to leave and finish my grieving process.

About two-three months later I came back to try again .. I stayed.

(Before Senior Forums, I looked at a Grieving Widow/er site, and I just couldn’t handle all the sadness there.
Everyone seemed to be crying nonstop.. that was the last thing I needed at that point in time.)

But, yes, Senior Forums is amazing! .. and we have the best Admin. anywhere (y)
