Wife's former coworkers gave us...

Mr. Ed

Be what you is not what you what you ain’t

Wife's former coworkers gave us 2 sets of flannel sheets, comforters, a crockpot, bath robes, flannel pillow cases, flannel throws, warm socks, 4 winter scarves, gloves etc in support of winter Rv camping.

Today, Suburban Propane is scheduled to deliver 100 lb propane cylinder with refills in place of traveling to the Tractor Supply Store for refilling two 30 lb propane tanks that came with the Rv. We have water and propane for heat and cooking, however, space is limited with four dogs and a cat.

No more switching propane tanks late at night to restore heat for the furnace and hopefully the water won't freeze again from the insulated trailer to the Rv via heated hose pipe. So far heating tape has kept the sewage line open from freezing so that's a good thing and the added winterization on the slide-outs prevent ice buildup on the roof.

In spite of the many challenges we face we are fortunate to stay with our pets while our home is being repaired and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Sounds like you're going to be warm and cozy no matter what comes, Mr. Ed!

Does your camper have the auto change over valve? If so I would suggest you run the same set up we have the last 7 years. Hook the 100Lb tank line to one side, and turn the other 30Lb tank off, and keep the other 30Lb tank beside the 100 Lb. If the 100Lb runs out, its just a matter of turning the other tank on. The reason to keep it off is that it lets you know the 100lb has run out. We got the hand wheel fitting extension line so its an easy quick change to unhook the 100 Lb and hook to the standby 30lb. We take our 100Lb to get it filled.

How do you transport the 100LB tank for filling?
The purpose of having a larger tank is to avoid multiple trips to the propane refill station. I imagine the propane supplier can fill the two 30Lb tanks as well?

I use a hand truck to move it to my pickup, empty its 72Lbs, no problem sliding it up in the truck. 3/4 mile to the store to get it filled, its now 172 lbs and they help me slide it up in the truck and bring it home. Gravity is now on my side... slide it out and drop it to standing, hand truck it back around the camper. I'm not sure how a mobile service can fill smaller tanks since they go by weight and are placed on a scale.

When I moved into my place, I had a propane tank that was too small. So, the gas going out was a pain.
BTW, what happened to the person who drove into your house?
I don't keep up with him. I tried to help him out but he is set in his ways

maybe the work on your house will be done before 2/100lb tanks run out...if not..you can just switch to smaller ones...just make sure regulators are correct for 100 lb tanks
