My trip to New Norcia did not go quite as planned

I did go and managed to get a video of fledgling Corellas being fed by one of the parents.
I found it would be better to be there in the morning, before sunrise to video the Corellas en-masse.
So I will be going tomorrow morning, leaving at 3am and driving 130km - 80 miles to be there before sunrise.

Thanks, Bretrick, for sharing your video with us. I'm a big bird watching person - and these are really beautiful birds. I hope your trip will be all you hope for tomorrow. Best to you for 2025.

We have a small patio out back with two bird feeders, one for humming birds and a second tubular seed feeder for the sparrows. We also toss peanuts and walnut pieces on the patio floor for squirrels and birds.

I’ve told this story before, but one day a squirrel with the bare skin of mange came by. I looked up mange cures, bought some, coated half a walnut, and fed it to him. It worked and his fur grew back!

What a kind thing to do for the squirrel.
Top marks to you from me. :)

Near my place there is a multitude of various birds, Corellas, Major Mitchell and the Pink and grey ones. Last night when the fireworks went off those poor birds went absolutely berserk. They must have thought it was the end of the world. Even the dogs were barking madly. I wish they would ban fireworks in the suburbs.

The fireworks do terrify animals.
But they are for our enjoyment and we are the only ones that matter - NOT.
