Has anyone kept their very first computer for sentimental reasons?

Nope... never got sentimental over a computer.

The first one was got ran on 5.25" floppies. I was happy to get rid of it!
yes I was very happpy to see the back of my previous desktops... but as I say this Tohiba has worked like a trojan, never had any problems with it, it's never had any work done on it..never needed it....but now it's old..still in mint condition...

My first one had a tower (20-inch box), a separate cumbersome monitor, and a dot-matrix printer. When that stuff was outgrown & its operating system was outdated, I didn't want to keep it.
same same....

I can't really believe when I think of it..just how short a time it's been since we've got to where w are now..even 20 years ago there's no way Joe Bloggs could have imagined the capabilities of the Iphone15 for example...

what are you using ?
This is an Acer Aspire M5630, quad core minitower. Two monitors. I have maxed out the RAM, added new disk drives, replaced the video card, and added WiFi and Bluetooth over the years. By avoiding the leading edge, upgrade parts were always cheap.

But it is on its last legs now, Windows 11 does not support this machine.
