Seriously .. toilet used to be easy .. I'm 77, my arms seem shorter, wiping is a real chore now, I should see my doctor I suppose.

I don't know your heath of course, no one here does. But I would go to your doctor. They might suggest physical therapy. That could be beneficial. I don't know if you suffer back pain or issues.

You've gained too much weight around your waist and that is preventing you from reaching where you need to. So, lose weight and in the meantime use your shower and a towel soaked in water. Grab the towel in one hand and swing the other end between your legs and catch it with the other hand behind you, now pull it back and forth. You get the idea?

I use a "stretch cage" every time I go to the gym. It is just multiple bars that surround you. I go to the highest bars, grip them and sway back and forth to loosen my joints. We also have shelves in our kitchen cabinets that are almost too high to reach. I put my coffee cup at the front of one to force myself to stretch to reach it every morning.

Good tips! Stretching is essential. I used to stretch daily to reach the top of the door frame and sort of hang by it. Now, between the shrinkage of osteoporosis and forward-head posture aka dowager's hump, it's not possible. But we must keep trying.

Don't forget to have a lusty stretch before you get out of bed in the morning.

This thread reminded me of something I came across in India. Namely - leg lengthening.

Limb Lengthening Surgery in India | CureIndia

Essentially there are two ways to get longer limbs: 1) They break the bone of the leg and then separate the two ends a slight amount. They then allow it to heal, and when it fuses, the leg is longer; 2) You wear an apparatus on your limb for a long time that stretches things out.

So yes, I guess it is possible to make your limbs longer. However, at 77 years young, probably not optimal. :D

Just a personal observation: If the medical assistant that takes your BP, weight and height is short, then she will measure your height shorter. A tall MA will measure your height taller.
She used that stadiometer thing. Sometimes science and metrics suck.
