Hideous or beautiful table lamp?

very true.....it's sad but it's absolutely the truth... even my stuff in my home which is modern.. my daughter doesn't want if I die... her house is ultra modern..and minimalistic....

Somebody posted a picture of my late aunt! The pose and cig are perfect. I have the black and white version in my photo archive.
 

Just looking at it again, I can hear the "tock, tock, tock" of a large antique clock and feel the uncomfortable clothing of a funeral.
 
Speaking of lamps.

I've been trying to sweet talk mama into letting me get a 'leg lamp' but I'm not having much luck so far.

Didn't have my hearing aids in at the time so I didn't catch the exact wording but she said something along the lines of that I was either low class or had no class and ask me if I was friggin' nutz.

Go ahead and admit it this is absolutely beautiful.....right ?

I think there are people who would like these. The 4th one, the dark red glass one could look good with a Tiffany lampshade.


I would be tempted by the last one, the plain glass one, because I have seen some really nice silver and glass lampshades which, together, I think would look nice in a bedroom. Having said that, the first and last shades look like silk which, probably look much nicer than they appear in the photos.

I think, for someone who likes ornate interiors, some of your lamps would be of interest and, I wouldn't be surprised if some of them were valuable, they are certainly interesting.
