It's from a bank and this time of year, people are expecting yearly financial records for tax purposes. I emailed the former homeowner, but have not received any response.

Write on the closed envelope "not at this address" and return it to USPS.

This is what I did for a few years... and then the former owner died and I couldn't do it any longer 'cause I didn't know which way she went. Aw, Pepper, quit rollin' yer eyes at me!

When I moved into this house way back in Jan 1980..in fact 45 years ago tomorrow.... I got mail for the previous people... and they'd only lived here for 4 years.. but the mail kept coming for them for 5 years before it finally stopped

I still get mail for my late husband.....and he moved far, far away 19 years ago.

I've been getting mail for a former tenant for years now. I can cross it out and write 'no longer at this address', ..... even take them to the post office...... nothing happens. It's like the mail carriers don't read it or care.

The window clerk said it is mail that can't be forwarded and I could just throw it out. It may just be an ad from a bank soliciting business. I sent another email to the addressee and awaiting a reply.

Put a big red circle around the address and clip it to the mail box with a clothes pin. The carrier will get the message.

I contacted the recipient and she said to just hold onto it and she will pick it up when she's get up this way. No telling when that will be.

I never look. So I open everything that comes here. I open my mail over the trash can before I even come inside. Most goes right in the bin. FYI sending back to the PO etc accomplishes nothing. If it doesnt have a stamp the PO will just toss it. If you want to stop this you need to contact the sender. Personally I just consider it more junk mail and toss it. If it looks important I will contact the sender. And give them their new address if I have it. FYI some people dont change their address on purpose so creditors etc cant contact them.

I just write not at this address and drop it back in the mailbox. After 3 years if I get anything I throw it away. Don’t waste your time on this stuff.
