@DailyArtsyCrafter Are you my sister? :ROFLMAO: My wardrobe is also jeans and t-shirts. Wait. There are other things in my closet, but the jeans and t-shirts are my normal glad rags.

@hearlady I use the sun/safety glasses that were given to me after cataract surgery. They aren't ugly, and they are effective.

It's raining and 44F. Somebody remind me to put the faucet insulator on the outdoor faucet today. It's gonna get bone-chilling cold as soon as this rain clears out. By Monday our daytime high temps will be in the low 30s.

Haircut today.

My wardrobe has also dwindled down to mostly jeans and tshirts. I keep an outfit in the back for funerals. 😊
I risked my eyes for years. No more!

Talking about sunglasses... I've always tried to protect my eyes from the ravages of the sun,, particualrly when i lived in Spain.. and as you can see from many of my photo,s I'm almost always wearing sunglasses when i'm out and about.... trying to not get cataracts...

Tile contractor will be a hour late because the weather will warm up. What is he smoking? I cannot let my temper loose! Izzi is keeping the keyboard warm. SO is also frustrated. It is a three day week end!
All will be well at the end.
Our lawn ornaments are back. Beautiful mallards and a mouse hen. Then clean up under the bird feeder and take a nap on the grass in the front.

Hair has been cut. I feel 10 lbs lighter, but now all the blue is gone and I don't have any more stuff left to blue it. Ack!

It's overcast and gloomy and feels colder than it really is. If God had wanted me to be cold, She wouldn't have led me to the South. DD went along when I went to get my haircut so that she could fetch her prescriptions. It's so clammy and uncomfy here that she's already taken to her bed in pain, and it's not even 11 yet.

Tonight is dessert for dinner, but not really because I'm gonna make manicotti. So manicotti and apple dump cake for dessert. Comfort food. I like comfort food. I like food but especially comfort food when the weather is crappy.

@hawkdon Do those thermal patch thingies help at all with pain? Stay warm.

Yes, I do use those, however in this instance i think the problem is too deep in the tissue for any benefit from them...thanks...

Anyone else getting emails offering to help you earn money by turning your car's rear windshield into an advertising billboard?

I'd die of starvation first, but I hope this is just a scam and not something that will catch on. I don't want to sit in traffic bombarded about panty liners and bunion pads.

@Babs2u Has your doctor ruled out low dose aspirin for any reason other than 'higher risk of bleeding' marketing spiel ? There may be a reason for your other diagnoses or the severity of your A-fib so I'm not advocating you switch without MD approval!

My cardiologist cousin (pharmacist before med school) uses asprin for most patients rather than Eliquis (generic name apixaban-see below). He uses appx 80% generics to treat his patients ...knows better than most that some of the latest and greatest pharmaceutical releases are money making scams that are no better than generics. He is hell on pharmaceutical reps! :ROFLMAO:

Feb 2024 study recap:

Apixaban No Better Than Aspirin for Preventing Stroke Recurrence in Patients with Atrial Cardiopathy

More than a decade ago, the anticoagulant apixaban, trade name Eliquis, was shown to be superior to aspirin for preventing recurrent stroke in patients with a heart condition called atrial fibrillation. But a multi-center, phase 3 clinical trial has found that apixaban is no more effective than aspirin at preventing a second stroke in patients diagnosed with a milder, related condition called atrial cardiopathy, according to results reported by researchers at Weill Cornell Medicine, Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and NewYork-Presbyterian

So glad to wake up this morning with a winterized RV! Finished that up too late last night. Since getting the van in 2020, I've relied on keeping the heat on and using anti-freeze just in the under carriage pump and rear outdoor shower. Finally paid stupid tax last year when the water pump and several lines burst. Ouch at that bill.

After going through the full winterization process (involving compressed air and four gallons of antifreeze) for the first time yesterday, I don't want to do anything today!!! But am going to work on putting together an Ikea shoe cabinet ...something I actually enjoy.

I don't have this condition, but boy is this good to know!

Are you full-timing in your RV?

Thank you for all the fascinating information. I do take a low dose aspirin once daily. All the rest was in addition. Maybe I will ask the cardiologist about doing it twice daily.
