Do you find yourself curious to find out whose voice it is in a commercial or a documentary? I can't rest and enjoy it until I at least try. Then you go, ooh, I knew that voice!
Documentary narrators are easy to research if you get curious. But finding out who is doing a commercial is not.Do you find yourself curious to find out whose voice it is in a commercial or a documentary? I can't rest and enjoy it until I at least try. Then you go, ooh, I knew that voice!
I like when I watch some old TV shows or movies and recognize someone who hadn't made a big name for themselves at the time but showed up in many more things as they got older. That's where IMDB comes in.I'm not very good at voices but I play the "where-did-we-see-that-guy?" game constantly. Or the "doesn't-he / she look like ______" game.
It drives me crazy until I can say "Oh yeah, he played the police chief on _______. I KNEW I knew him from somewhere!"
There are the actors who stayed very busy playing "type-cast roles". The demented old lady, the old guy who is always a prospector or owns a decrepit gas station in the desert, members of the inbred family up in the hills who are cannibals, the crotchety old man, the ditsy neighbor, etc, etc.I like when I watch some old TV shows or movies and recognize someone who hadn't made a big name for themselves at the time but showed up in many more things as they got older.
