Is a NuWave like a microwave oven? When my microwave needs replacing, I am going to be looking at microwaves which also air fry. A couple of my friends have bought them and, apparently, they are very good.
No, it's not like a microwave. Here's a description from the web:
"The NuWave Infrared Oven is a countertop kitchen appliance that combines infrared, conduction, and convection cooking methods12. It was the first product to use this combination of technologies2"

I had one like in this picture, with the extender. I think there are better options now, where one doesn't have to keep lifting the heating element and dome to access the food. But if you do get a NuWave, make sure to get one with the amber dome. The clear domes crack. Me and everyone I knew who had one had to replace their ovens because of the domes. In fact, I don't know if they are still sold with the clear.

Thank you. I was thinking of something entirely different. It looks very similar to my sister's halogen oven. :)

I know it's an old-fashioned notion, but there's nothing to compare to getting seed catalogs via snail mail in the dead of winter. Yeah, I can see all the same stuff online, but there's just something about perusing a real paper seed catalog. I got one in today's mail. And just by mentioning it here, my home page will blow up with ads for more tomorrow. I'll ignore those.

So far, I want just about everything I see...

ETA: I spoke too soon. The ads for seeds are already popping up on my home page. I swear! If I even think something, it shows up on my home page!
DH loves seed catalogs!
Now they'll be popping up on MY home page. 🤔

I too learnt cribbage from my dad and also missed playing with him so I started teaching my grandson a few years ago and he enjoys playing with me, so I'm a happy bunny. :) Bonus is that he is also a very placid and loving person, just as my dad was. A joy to be with.

Edited to add that I live in a very working class town so there are still pubs and working men's clubs where cribbage is played and there is a Monday and Friday League. I'm not tempted by them though. ;)
I think they play Cribbage at the Senior Center in town, but it's not on a day or time that works for me.

Plus, my Dad taught me to play a "friendly" game. From what I've heard, the players at the Senior Center are (as my Dad would have said) "out for blood!". LOL

I wanted to teach Dio, but he isn't interested. I play with my Mom once or twice a year, but she is almost 93 years old and doesn't always remember how to play.

look it up on youtube, you'll get instruction there...(y)
I've tried looking up various sites, but they are mainly for different models. Anyway, I managed to get the phone working to the extent that I can make / receive calls or texts. That's what a phone is for and I shouldn't have to spend ages trying to figure out how to get it going because it's supplied with totally inadequate instructions.

Morning folks!! Up at 4am for unknown reason...ah well...38F here this morning, up to 55 maybe later...no rain...Feel okay
except for tired, but thats normal these days....the copd is
kickin my butt....guess I'll call the air doc and see what he
suggests...last time there (1yr) he wanted to sell me a 5grand
a month treatment pill or something.....Got a visit from
health insurance rep today, just to see what I live like I guess...
Catch you all later on!!!! :coffee:

I understand completely.. I have to look up the instructions for my Iphone every time I get a new one, because they all work differently.... all crazy..why every phone can't just work straight froom the box like landlines I don't know ..!

One of those waiting in for a parcel days.
Ordered a new Cool Bag for this years cricket since the one I have been using is falling apart.
Ordered from Amazon yesterday, being delivered by Royal Mail today so hopefully it will arrive quite early.
all my amazon stuff arrives in the afternoon.. sometimes as late as 8pm as it did last night...

Fifty days until spring! Woohoo and stuff.

It's supposed to be warm and sunny today, maybe even as warm as 66. If it really happens, I might arm myself with the leaf blower and erase leaves from the flower garden(s).

DSIL is going to help me finish the tax returns and submit them today. I'll be glad to have that out of the way.

Woke up shaking again, but not as bad as yesterday. Too shaky to take glucose levels, but I'm thinking it's a low number. I've been wrong before, test don't guess. Just need to stop shaking though.

I have lots to do. AccessARide for tomorrow to pick up my grandson Thursday. CT Scan Friday

This flu doesn't want to leave me. Go Away already.

This morning at 8:30 taking the Canterbury Gates van to my dr's office building, having a chest x-ray done
My dr's nurse practioner, Diane ordered it, she wants to make sure my chest is ok after I had pneumonia for the 1st time over Xmas holidays
The rest of my day read my book, NYT. I'm having dinner in dining rm tonight at 5:30 with Pat another resident who I've become friends with, along with her daughter,it will be the highlight of my day

We're at 7 deg today semi-sunny, with patchy blue skies, the rain has stopped at last !

Had an email from my BB provider, instead of middle of february, they're coming in a couple of days to install the new 150 Full fibre Max.

They just install a little box outside my house at the entrance where my phone line goes in so I don't have to be at home for that
