Good Wednesday morning, SFers. Hope today is a good one all around.

Yesterday I stayed in awaiting 6 boxes for business - not that I had anyplace in mind to go, so it was fine. Took care of a few things around the house. You know how that goes. Something always needs doing.

Finally set up the laptop I bought on Cyber Monday. Happy surprise: I forgot it has a touch screen. Next step in customizing it to suit my preferences - dump the bloatware, with McAfee being the first to go.

On a less happy note, it appears my GD's birthday party Sunday was a petri dish for Influenza A. One kid came down with it that evening. As of this morning, both of her siblings plus my GD went down like dominoes. Hoping no others will get sick, including DH & me.

@Pepper, I hope you're back in the pink very soon. The flu is both a misery and no joking matter. Get well soon, my friend. 🤗

The one we bought from oldest son is more for traveling,, but it does get drafted to haul the dump trailer.

With the last mishap hubby had in the woods, taking down a tree,, which knocked him over.
He is thinking he"Might" quit cutting, down trees for firewood.

Men! You just have to love them. Mine has been mighting to get rid of his side business. I am close to dragging it to the curb! But only close.

I've spent ages today looking for either a snuggle chair or a 2 seater love seat.. to match or contrast with my new sofa... The last leather ones were a 3 x2 and I'm mssing that

I hate velvet and just abotu everywhere I've loooked the 2 seaters in the colurs I want are velvet... so I think I might have to go with a chair that I've seen.. which looks to be a similar colour and also importantly a similar material.. tell me folks what do you think...

I started off by thinking I will get a contrasting colour 2 seater sofa/loveseat and my mind has been set on Royal blue all the time, but I can't find one in my price range other than velvet or horrrible cord....

The chair is 30 inches wide, so not too small.. but I'm still not sure...

I've got to remember that at some point I may be moving, but I can't look at that bare corner in the livingroom where the last 2 seater was, anymore.. it's just so bare..

It’s easy to add pillows or a throw over the back for a pop of color that suits you, @hollydolly (staring the obvious, I know)

yep, currently I have 2 duck feather cushions in the same coour as the sofa.. already on the sofa, bt I've also bought some royal blue cushion covers as well ... and I have navy blue throws on the sofa.....

I know I should get the room painted, red just doesn't match.. but I'm loathe to do it in case I get to move.....but I just can't make my mind up abut the chair...V a loveseat

Shoveled the driveway - TWICE. Got about 4 inches of snow overnight. I shoveled that and as soon as I got done, a quick squall put down another 2 inches. More shoveling. Then the sun came out and did a good job of melting any globs I left on the black asphalt.
I have to keep it clear because I deliver meals tomorrow and I'm expecting a visit from the mayor on Friday.

IMHO, to me they're too dissimilar in style and 2 similar in color so they neither match, nor sufficiently contrast w each other. I'm sure the first thing you looked at was the rest of the collection that the sofa comes from, but if not that would be another avenue to pursue. Happy hunting!

yes , I was thinking the same maybe.. thanks for your input..... but everything else is in a different material completely.... the different colour doesn't faze me, because I think that Royal blue matches mustard /yellow.. but everything seems to be in velvet...

I am busy trying to unite, and simplify. I'm needing cataract surgery, so that has to be arranged. Got a letter today asking me to choose my favored treatment center. I guess that's good. I was injured in my right eye as a child, and that eye is the one with the cataract.

I know several people who had cataract surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital and they were happy with their treatment. Not sure where you are based so, Central London may not be convenient.
