My father had cataract surgery on both eyes at the age of 94, sailed through it problem free so well worth doing.

Done! Ready to call Mummy and deal with fajitas. SO is a saint. Laundry is running.
We have rather ornate Knotty Alder all over the house including all doors. Auto detailing compound to take out the dust, fur other polish to cover minor scratches and tomorrow touch ups with stain. Four doors done! All shoes are in clear boxes and have cedar shoe trees. Boots have shoe trees plus shaft stretchers.
Time for merlot.
 
Taxes done and filed! Yay! Thangkew DSIL. When the refunds are deposited I'm gonna go and withdraw it all in ones. Then I'm gonna take it home and sit on the floor like Scrooge McDuck and throw all of it up in the air and let it land on me🤣

Why am I getting such a big refund? Because I rightly guessed that not enough would be withheld if I worked all year. I only worked half the year...et voilà!...refund💰💰💰.

I told DSIL if he wants to see what a tax refund looks like, all he'll have to do it look out their back door at the garden in May when it's in full bloom. Now...if I could just find a garden center that sells money trees.

@hollydolly Blue loveseat for sure. It's a shame you can't get two chairs just like that instead, though.

Did some financial stuff in the middle of the night, when I'm usually up and my mind is active. I did a bit of accounting for my son and me and updated my spreadsheets. I also play games that help clear the cobwebs out of my brain during those hours. The best games to accomplish that are Words With Friends, Cross Math, Cody Cross and Quizzland. Later on I also watched a couple of my favorite shows and napped a lot.

I hesitate to call myself an artist although that was my job title at one time. I paint and accept commissions. I do houses, portraits and pets.

Yes, I have been impressed by Lara's work.

I don't want 2 chairs Gigi..I don't have space for 2 chairs... one large chair, or a 2 seater sofa..... but the colour is causing me angst....

I want to replace the previous leather 2 seater in the corner... but do I go with a similar colour to the sofa, or a contrast? :unsure:.. both sofas will be pretty close to each other only abut 4 feet apart...

Thanks for posting this beautiful bowl of pansies! Love the wicker too. No, I can't paint but used to draw and did some things with pastels. It's been many years.
