Dusting of snow overnight, but it melted quickly after sunrise. However, here we are under a high wind advisory. Some areas nearby are having a snow squall warning. It's fairly cool (26F), intermittent sun and clouds, and blustery at the moment.
SNOW! About 4 inches overnight. I shoveled the driveway and just got back inside and it started in again with another quick 2 inches. Temp right on the freezing point (32F). High winds predicted later today.
Warming up in the Mid-Atlantic today with a high of 52F! (11C)
Hopefully, that will melt most of the remaining snow. If it doesn't, we've got some rain coming at the end of the week that should finish it.
Yesterday was so cold (no higher than 55 all day) I didn't want to go outside other than to refill birdie feeders. When the weather gets cold, those birdies go crazy...eating enough calories to stay warm...so I try to help them. The hummies also go through more nectar water and will be cleaning and refilling those feeders today. Didn't get anything over to the new storage space, it is all sitting in the front foyer. Too much junk in this house...
I don't normally ski after a work out, but I made an exception today to go sit outside at the top (9,147') and soak in some rays at 30°F. It felt great! We're heading into 5 days of stormy wx, perhaps an atmospheric river will deliver the goods.
