I wondered where you were. I wanted to apologize for going off on you last week on the Airline disaster thread. There needs to be a "Dislike" option along with the "Like" option.
Having read and being informed by the responses to thus ideaThere needs to be a "Dislike" option along with the "Like" option.
Try not giving a Like. There needs to be a "Dislike" option along with the "Like" option.
That's right. If you dislike something that much, put it into words. For those who want to put less thought and effort into it, there's a whole list of various emojis which can be used in a reply."Ooooh, I don't like what he/she said, so I'm gonna stick my tongue out and give a dislike by golly!" Nah, I may have done that in high school, but I'm with @Michael Z about mature members being at this forum, so it's unnecessary.
Besides, if I truly dislike, feel insulted/offended by, or strongly disagree with something, I'm going to put it into words (hopefully respectfully although that's up for interpretation depending on what kind of mood I'm in that day.)
YouTube took away the dislike/thumbs down quite a while ago because they were getting a lot of mob mentality with it, btw.
oh that has been used here, many times by certain people...No, we don't need that. I like this forum in that the "mature" folks here don't resort to a lot of insulting. One thing I dislike and see in a lot of places is use of the laughing icon as a form of ridicule - don't see that here.
you can't just ignore things once you've read them.Just ignore the post you dislike.
I always use this one when I'm unclear...Dislike is often a reflection of how you feel at the moment and not how you'll feel later on when you realize you have no opinion about it and wonder why you bothered to "dislike" it in the first place.
There are some posts where I have absolutely no idea what someone is going on about. This is usually when they open a new thread and are unclear what the topic is addressing. That's when I would like to see a question mark emoticon "?" that I could select.
Thereās enough negativism in this world without the overuse a thumbs down on an OVER FIFTY FORUM. How old is everyone on this forum? I thought we had to be out of high school.
Just practice!you can't just ignore things once you've read them.
...you can't unread something.. therefore you can't ignore what's being said. The more appropriate way is to put the continuing annoying poster on ignore... then you never get to see another one of their posts...Just practice!
Preach....you can't unread something.. therefore you can't ignore what's being said. The more appropriate way is to put the continuing annoying poster on ignore... then you never get to see another one of their posts...

I dont know why but some people always annoy me with what they say and thats where I gotta put them on ignore. Its a great feature because it guarantees me a positive experience on the forum....you can't unread something.. therefore you can't ignore what's being said. I agree because it would just cause hurt feelings. Why go there? Why?
What could possibly be the benefit?
