He has won numerous awards over the years:

5 Academy Awards
3 Emmys
4 Golden Globes
American Film Institute's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016
I have a couple favorite film scores:

Jurassic Park
Indiana Jones&The Last Crusade

The man is a phenomenal orchestral film composer-- the best of the modern era. His neo-classical style and complex orchestrations are a delight to hear. It was a very happy union between him and Spielberg.

My personal favorite film composer is Bernard Herrmann, but Williams was alone in his excellence for big film composition.
