Today I forced myself to do laundry. I was so comfortable in my recliner after an early morning snooze. But since we are expecting a couple of snowstorms this week, the first being tomorrow, I decided I'd better get shakin' and get it done. Also, my son brought home the items on my Costco list. I had to make room in the freezer and fridge for two cases of Oikos yogurt which was on sale (ergo two cases). I would have just gotten one and had him go back before this sales cycle is over, but he'll be away.

I had a spot ready for the bundle of TP. Tomorrow, I will have to find places to put the other bulk items I bought, including the 12 bundle of paper towels. My Honorary Daughter is staying over tonight and "went to couch" about an hour ago. My son went to bed earlier, so I won't be foraging around, rearranging stuff and making noise.

Can you believe it...STILL raining...🌦️🌧️This is day 4..... and day 4 of having the dehumidifier on in the barn , day 3 of having the radiator on to dry it all out where the roof is leaking..jeez !!

It's 8.20am, and it's so dull I've got the office light on...

I've got the internet provider engineer coming today to install the new fibre optic line into the house.. so if you don't see me after today, you'll know he's ballsed it up...

Today, we are picking up our daughter and her Corgi (Abbi), to go for a country drive.

Abbi stands on me, with her head out the window. It's going to be around -4C, so, the window might not be open as much as usual.

There are always dog treats to be had, but, she looks forward to a few very thin apples slices from Nana (that's me).

Drove 220 miles over 4 hours to Tahoe and skied 3 hours in superb sunny conditions. Then drove another half hour to a $55 Motel 6 room in Carson City Nevada. Will ski again tomorrow, incredible visceral fun at my elite skill level. Recorded numbers of raw yet unedited skiing videos at least some of which after post processing will end up publicly on my YouTube channel.

On the negative, both my headlamp low beams died so will need to drive home if after dark, using just the high beams while not trying to do so in heavy traffic.

I would have gone to South Lake Tahoe. The motel is just a few minutes drive to Emerald Bay State Park... Awesome place! My band used to stay at the motels in that area a lot back in the days we were playing in Stateline.

In olden times a maiden would give her knight a keepsake to remember her in Battle. That's how I feel about @David777 sailing down those hills on skis! I'm going to send you a scarf, David! That's how much I wish I could ski, or do anything freely! Good for you, my man. Also @againstthegrain how fabulous you guys are on those ski mountains!
ooooh is David your knight in shining armour, Pepper... tell us more... is this your paramour.....🥰

Horrible dream last night where I unretired and went back to my old job. Today we're expecting snow/sleet/rain so I'll go off for an early workout. Then will read, write, draw, etc. Also have to deal with an auto insurance problem caused by not-so-bright agent.

Thus far before noon...I not only cleaned the house, but I made a call to my GP.. they can't give me an appointment until the 24th... then I had a text back from them saying the pharmacist at the surgery need to ring me this PM to review my meds

Then a mail from my lawyer.. saying the other party wishes to hurry this divorce up.... yes I'm bluddy sure he does... it's costing him more and more each month this goes on... , and I'm enjoying seeing him having to pay more..

This is going into the 4th year since I caught him cheating.. he waited 2 years before filing for divorce because he thought that if he waited 2 years he could get a no fault divorce costing just £500 online and walk away scot free...boy was he wrong... and I bet he's seething !

No sign of the internet provider engineer yet... at almost 1pm....

Really envy your skiing, is awesome, I enjoy hearing about it, and you can do it as long as you feel good, is great exercise!

I don't downhill ski, but for some reason I find myself wanting to have done so at some point but cross country skiing a few times was it for me. That and I haven't lived in snow country areas much.

In retrospect I think didn't downhill ski because I was always afraid I'd end up with a) broken parts or dead as in Sonny Bono or Natasha Richardson. I've had the responsibility of four kids to raise and didn't want to leave them at a young age?

Keep it up, you are only as old as you let yourself be.

Gosh, @hollydolly, you're a regular ball of fire. And @Trila, it's cold and wet here but at least not freezing yet. The long-range forecast threatens frost next week.

@David777, I've never been much of a downhill skier, but before we left the UP, we were cross-county fans, Lot of good trails up there. I don't miss it because I'd rather live where there's no sNOw:D

Where's my talking dog?

Thirty-seven days until spring. Yup. I wouldn't kid about something so important.

Just after 2pm, and still no sign of the internet engineer, and no text either.. given that they've bombarded me with texts every day for a week, warning me that if I wasn't home for this installation they'd fine me £25... so this is a bit odd, that I'm getting no updates by text today

Been up since 4am; woke and thought it was at least 5:30. Not.

Getting paperwork final draft ready for tomorrow's signing and notary.

For the last year I have been researching legal records and trying to figure out a way to fix the problem myself. I finally did figure it out and wrote up a legal paper for signature by four people.

But have spent a few too many awake nights thinking this through and then getting up in the middle of the night writing up legalese to fix it, so it won't come back to haunt.

Over coffee am now thinking law school isn't such a bad idea....I would do mostly pro bono. What else do I have to do in retirement? I keep running out of projects.

Is sad that in today's world one needs a law degree so as not to be taken by lawyers and shysters.
