If you don’t snack now, I would encourage you not to start. 😉🤭😂

I try to control my snacking with carrot & celery sticks or fresh fruit but it never seems to keep me from grabbing a cookie, pudding cup, ice cream, nuts, leftovers of all kinds, toast, chips, etc… 🐷🐷🐷

Bananas. My maternal grandmother died of complications from osteoporosis. My mom has it too. Bananas contain magnesium which helps convert vitamin 3 making your bones stronger. Many seniors are deficient in vitamin D3. They didn't know this. I do so I'm hoping I can help myself here. And, I do like bananas. :)

Those items are not allowed in my cart.

dehydrated kale and seaweed crisps and your favorite cookies with unsalted plain quinoa cakes
...And neither are those! Yuck.

And bananas are the least expensive. I like them with a bit of peanut butter smeared on them.

Bananas are very cheap here thankfully.. I buy bananas every week.. today I got 7 for 75p...so really no-one has an excuse not be able to have any with regard to price...

I also take Vit D3 with K2 supplement every day..it's important any D3 supplement has K2 added..

Do you know that if you replace your potato chips with dehydrated kale and seaweed crisps and your favorite cookies with unsalted plain quinoa cakes lose weight, lower your cholesterol and suck 92% of the enjoyment out of your life?

I intend to die with a sweet, salty, greasy smile on my face.....
I was horrified:eek: until I read the final ten words of your first sentence. I totally agree with sentence two.

Apples.

I used to like the tart ones, but consuming so little sugar now even those taste sweet. Amazing variety of subtle flavors. A cold Honeycrisp is nice but too sweeet for me. Fuji is my go-to choice today. However I'll go for anything but a "Delicious" or "Golden Delicious" mushball. I prefer a crisp bite.

I have been warned off bananas twice now. Too much potassium and they spike blood sugar unless you eat them green.

You're lucky Hols. D3 supplements give me bad headaches.that because I have to function everyday. I have to drink orange juice with D3 added and eat bananas for the magnesium so it all works. :giggle:

My daughter and son-in-law have an apiary, so I'm well-supplied with numerous bottles of honey of all sorts (whatever the bees are into that year). I have found that when I'm craving a sweet, I can get by with a spoonful of honey, wallowed around in my mouth and then swallowed.

Of course, other times, the chocolate-covered cherries do shout a little louder for attention.

I've been into Popcorners over the past few months. I love the Kettle Corn flavor. Costco sells a 30 bag variety box for a great price and I found I like the other flavors too. Popcorners work better for me because I don't like popcorn except for......

Crunch and Munch. Love this stuff but hate spitting out the husks. I don't have it often.

Ritz crackers with peanut butter, jelly or cream cheese. Again, I have lots in the house because I buy in bulk from Costco. Ritz are always good and if I ever run out of bread, they'll be a good substitute.

Nature Valley Sweet and Salty bars, my favorite granola bars. Costco bulk again. I don't usually eat these at home but they are good to carry in my purse and travel bag for when hunger strikes.

Yogurt, right now it's Oikos Triple Zero. It's sugar free but to sweeten it to taste, I add a little agave and one pack of Splenda. I eat it because it's good for my system and kind of helps to reduce my yearning for ice cream.

Original Cheerios. Not only for breakfast, but makes a great, quick snack too.

PBnJ sandwich. Why is really not necessary. 😛

Russell Stover sugar free chocolate: Pecan Delights, Coconut and Choc-mint. Also Ferrero Rocher. I eat candy less often than other snacks.

My first and foremost would be ice cream, but that's considered a dessert I think. 🍦 You can tell I'm a snacker, right. :D
