Play a Song That Was in the Air During Your Childhood

This has been my favourite all time song and it will be until the day I die. I have song or whistled this song in over 75 countries during my life. I first heard it when I was just a kid going to a movie theatre in a local town. Admission to a movie was 25 cents.

I learnt this song in German when I was in High School. It is a great song for hiking.

One of my first record memories was my mom’s 45 of Elvis Presley, All Shook Up.

For my 5th birthday, I got 2 45s from my friends — The Doors (light my fire) and something by the 1910 Fruitgum Company.

My mother had a portable radio parked on the kitchen's buffet cabinet. She was born and raised in east Tennessee, in the late 30s, so quite naturally she liked country (not western so much) music.

Some of the stuff I can't help appreciating, though the genre ain't my fave.

This one sticks in my head for some damned reason:

Elvis Presley's "You Aint Nothing but a Hound Dog"....my older sister drove me crazy playing that 45 record on her record player! Accordingly, I never like Elvis... Lord I can still here that stupid song today! My late sister would love hearing that...SMILE
