"I've never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure".

I think this is often attributed to Mark Twain but I don't think he really said this.

Great line though. Can think of a few people whose obituaries I might like to read....

"If this life is anything like Hell....then I should be given credit for time served." Rindee :)
Nicely done .

'' I have told countless , you can pay me in cash for your faucet I have fixed or you can listen to me complain about what comes to mind for 15 minutes , as of today I have always been paid in cash ''
Louie

'' Being out going in my youth I have fooled women into thinking I was smarter and better looking then I am , I never knew my limitations ''

"Her finely touched spirit had still its fine issues, though they were not widely visible. Her full nature, like that river of which Cyrus broke the strength, spent itself in channels which had no great name on the earth. But the effect of her being on those around her was incalculably diffusive: for the growing good of the world is partly dependent on unhistoric acts; and that things are not so ill with you and me as they might have been, is half owing to the number who lived faithfully a hidden life, and rest in unvisited tombs."

George Eliot "Middlemarch"
