I am so sorry, DB. Life can be vibrant and joyful, but also cruel and nasty. We have to work our way through it all, figuring it out as we go, and that can bring sorrow, regret, and questions about the nature of things. For me, I'd do what the doctor's tell me to, and pour as much love into the person as I could.

I don’t have to tell you, but this is bad. Lung cancer alone is hard to overcome, but now that the cancer has spread to his intestines is merciless and all that I can say is to stay strong, take care of yourself and hopefully all of the prayers will be answered to give him more time to share with you and his family.

I’m sorry for you and anyone that has to go through this. You are not alone.
