Help - unmovable constipation?

OH that feeling...
You know it is there but won't come out.

I saw this tip many years ago and it works for me
Bend and Raise one knee. Hold it up
Inhale for ten
Exhale and while doing so direct it to your nether region pulling in abdominal area and relax slowly in that position
I talk to my bowels telling then to relax and come on out while doing so.
Repeat

Takes a bit of time but it does a great jobView attachment 405300

p.s I have been doing it while writing...now I have to go...........

I had to take Lactulose for awhile and it solved the problem for me but it is a prescription medication. I do not use it anymore.

When i was young i was very regular and if not dietary choices corrected it fairly easily. Learn what foods are typically binders and which of those seem to have most effect on you. (Not necessarily the same for all. Also experiment with some of naturally laxative foods people have recommended.

When my system had slowed down considerably despite being active, eating high fiber cereals 4-6 days a week and minimizing consumption of foods that seem to be binders for me. Then i started drinking 8-10 oz day of coconut/pineapple juice--at first just because tasty. But i noticed some easing of the chronically slow bowels.

Read about some spices that can help, tried them, again some releif. But what has helped me most is whole Flax Seeds. I mostly put them in my cereal, but if i don't have cereal on given day I put them in salad, soup.or stew. They're tiny, no taste i can discern and i'm back to the regularity of my younger days. Read some where that flax seed oil won't do the same that it takes the whole seeds.

Before trying any med or dietary remedy do look up info about them online to be sure they might be contraindicated if you have certain other health issues. And if it's bad enough to ask people online, maybe you should consult your PCP.
