In the Czech Republic a 27 year old woman was captured and tortured in a dilapidated house in the village Siřem, only 60 kilometres (37 miles) behind the German border. A 40 year old man kept her in his basement, stripped her naked, chained her up, shaved her head, let her starve out and raped her.
Since November 2024 the woman was kept as his prisoner. He rarely gave her anything to eat, only sometimes she got bread and water from a bowl,"like a dog".

The tormentor, who is said to have known his victim and lured her to him, is Karel N. (40), who has a criminal record. Acquaintances describe the truck driver as “sociable”. Hardly anyone apparently knew that he had already held and abused a woman in another house in 2021.
At that time, he allegedly put a dog's head mask on the 22-year-old, hung her up by all four limbs with chains and gave her electric shocks. After an appeal, the sex offender was released on parole - and was thus able to strike again."
