I occasionally watch them, and reading the small print ....... some of the poster's names look the same as the name of some charges showing up on my credit card ?? [names I really can't pronounce] I recently watched three of them regarding arthritis & chiropractic care . And I had three charges on my C/C that I could not explain.

I do not have a u/tube account , how could the individual video poster get my C/C number ?

Just a note ....... all the charges were small amounts individually , $3.00/$7.00/$6.00 and so-on.

I am going to get my statements out today, and look on u/tube and see if anything matches up.

I watch YT constantly and never have had a charge. Though I do pay monthly for the premium so I don't have ads. But other than that I have never had them charge me. If they did, they would send an email. Some people sign up to a particular channel to give them a certain amount of money monthly to help them with their channel expenses. But they can't do that unless you sign up for it.

If you have never given your credit card information to YouTube or Google, then these charges are probably unrelated. But if you have submitted CC info, then it could be fairly easy to incur charges for watching some show or video, perhaps through some deceptive means.

Seems a bit odd though, given you don’t even have an account. With that in mind, you probably should contact you credit card immediately (phone number on back of card) and get this card cancelled and replaced with a new card. We have done this before.

I agree with the others, and I too watch YT all the time and have never gotten charged.
In the meantime you might want to lock your cards. Locking and unlocking is easy on mine.
Click lock or unlock under "account services". This doesnt affect any auto charges.

This goes without saying but be wary of clicking on any extra links you see on these videos.
Some are fine but some are virus.

What/who are you paying these fees to? YouTube or individuals? I use the free version, so I'm not sure about user fees. From what I understand is the YouTube content makers get paid as per a percentage of "views".
These fees don't seem right.

Never give Google or YouTube your CC information. They can't be trusted.

I had a website for a while and used Google to host it, and it was basically impossible to cancel it using their online form. They intentionally had a bug in it that didn't allow cancelation. My credit card expired around the same time, so that's how I finally canceled. I obviously didn't provide them with my updated information.

We had YouTube TV for a while, but I paid for it with PayPal so they couldn't prevent me from canceling and they can't restart my subscription without my consent.

Well, I double checked everything and it looks like I was just wrong. The names are similar, but not exact, so I suppose those are not the actual charges on my C/C statement.

I posted in another thread , that I contacted the C/C company , and they removed them without any hassle .
