TGS didn't come yesterday or today, as had been planned. 103° fever most of the week, but it dropped to 101° yesterday. He's going back to the doctor this morning. Poor little fella. 🤗

Cooler weather today - down 15° today to a high of only 71°, but no complaints because that's still comfortable.

Today's the 24 hour spending blackout, mainly targeting Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Target, Whole Foods, banks, gasoline stations, and other some other big corporate retailers. If shopping is necessary, people are encouraged to turn to small, local businesses. So I'm staying home and will grocery shop later this weekend at my small, local Asian produce store.

Stepfather at the nursing rehab place. Going over after work is hard on me since I started working full time a month ago. I will go over as much as I can. I have no idea how this is going to play out at his age.

Before going to the bank, I stopped at the thrift store and actually felt guilty for taking some decompress time. I found 20 dollars outside the store and turned it into the store in case someone realizes they lost the money.

I did find out at the bank that I can write checks on my stepfather's account. I knew I was on his accounts but not to that degree. So I will ask him if he wants me to do that with the bills that come in.

  • Created with Adobe Premiere Elements two skiing videos then YouTube published them on my public channel.
  • Created with caltopo dot cam maps and Photoshop, a custom 4800x6000 pixel at 240ppi satellite imagery based map of a Colorado ski resort, then at a FedEx Office 2 blocks away, printed out 5 sheets I then glued together onto a 20 inch by 25 inch map I mounted on a cardboard sheet. Will send it to an old skiing friend now living in Colorado that skis that resort.
  • Received from Amazon today, a thermal insulation case for my GoPro camera, to help prevent the lithium battery from losing capacity out in cold conditions while skiing.

I will be grocery shopping and cleaning up today for family dinner tomorrow. Hamburgers and turkey burgers on the grill. We need to use it in the cooler months because once it's hot here no one wants to be out there grilling. It will be low fifties.

I woke up with a headache. That means I ate a bit too much dark chocolate last night. Just half a piece too much will cause it.

My brother had all his video tapes digitized. Yesterday, he sent me one from the eighties where we were both in New England visiting my mother. We all took a ride on my other brother's boat up a coastal river. What fun we were having! My granddaughter's are going to faint when they see a young grandma frolicking on the beach. 😊

Have fun at your dinner, @hearlady; hoping your head feels better quickly. 🤗

Husband is working the closing shift at the co-op today and boyfriend is away in London visiting family. I really don't know what I'm doing today... Walk the dog a couple times, work on my cross stitch, do some laundry, chat with son and daughter, maybe take an additional walk just for me...

It's Saturday so the medical offices across the street are closed, which means I can walk on the car stops.

Grocery shopped yesterday. Gee, prices have gone up so much just recently!

Only one of 5 local markets carry Cambozola cheese and I didn't want to go out there, so I tried Boar's Head "creamy" Gorgonzola and tho' not the same, it's pretty good.

My problem is I dislike the Boar's Head company! They're way over priced and pushy; try to boss deli staff. Had a Huge recall not long ago. They've got classy-looking artwork on their labels and people think their products are a cut above, but they're not.

Well, that's my rant for today.

Been out on this glorious sunny day...for lunch with my friend and her family..

We went to he pub restaurant overlooking the lake which is a favourite in summer...

We ate the first course outside on the patio, but it got too cold despite the sun, and went indoors for dessert...

The paint I ordered for the pipes was here when I got home.....so I'll start on that next sunny day

Lovely day today, still chilly but, I don't mind. It's 33 minutes past 5pm and it is still light outside and the sky is still very blue. Apparently it is going to get nicer next week so, fingers crossed, winter is fading away.

Not done too much today, just some chores and a nice walk. We stopped off at the little arty cafe on the way home. The cafe bake all their own stuff and also have a seemingly endless choice of coffees and teas. There are some artist studios nearby and most of them display their paintings, pottery and other makes at the cafe so, it's an interesting place to stop off at and most people seem to know each other so, friendly too. We bought some bread and also some cheese scones to freeze.

Hope everyone had a good day today :)
