Are you into the awards/ award ceremonies?

It's awards season. It's the Oscars, The Grammies, The Tonys, Golden Globes, People's Choice, etc.
I found out you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a Grammy winner. They give out between 600-800 Grammys a year.
Are you into the awards/ award ceremonies?

Not generally but I did watch etalk to get a quick review of the Oscar’s. Some of the clothes are X rated.

Neither my wife or I give two hoots about anyone in Hollywood and their awards. I never understood why the networks that covered the Oscars thought the American public was so interested in who won an award or who was even nominated to spend hours of air time showing off some of the stupid clothing. I saw a picture of what Whoopi Goldberg wore and it did give me a good laugh.

I like to watch Jimmy Kimmel live with Guillermo going to the Red Carpet and him giving the stars a shot of Tequila, and they have fun with him.

I don’t watch award shows but I never miss the NFL or NBA drafts where a poor college kid becomes a millionaire.

Back in the 70's I always watched the Downbeat Reader's Poll winners show.

The music was great and the high point was when the individual winners from each categories
would do songs together.

Example from the 1975 show featuring Chick Corea, Hubert Laws, Bill Watrous, Stanley Clarke,
George Benson, Freddie Hubbard, Rashann Roland Kirk, Sonny Rollins and Lenny White.

Legendary performance.

I use to watch all the award programs, for yrs, never into fashion or what the stars were wearing
I no longer watch any though I did watch some of Sun night's Oscar show. The only reason I did so, to see how Conan O'Brien did as 1st time host, thought he was funny. I waited for the tribute to my favorite movie actor, Gene Hackman that actor & friend, Morgan Freeman gave, then I turned it off
