How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2025....

On my early morning walk around 6:50 temp was 34, was great not having to wear boots for a change. All the sidewalks were dry& clear of ice/snow as I walked to convient store to buy local paper for myself& friend Connie
I went out again around 9,still cold was breezy but the sun was out I changed my walking routine. I crossed the street at the end of our driveway by signal light then kept walking down another street, turned around came back 25 min later felt refreshed I didn't;t go out again the winds picked up
I wasn't planning on having dinner in the dining room tonight, but a friend Pat called & asked if I was available, for 5:30 said' sure.Another friend, Sheila will be joining us. It will be a good chance to catch up with what's going on in their lives- look forward to it

This is what it looked like here today for the 5th day in a row...

I took these this morning, the grounds attached to my doctors 'surgery...

I made frozen yogurt in two forms. I used Oikos Triple Zero strawberry to make yogurt pops. I used OTZ vanilla to make not quite a pint. I mixed both with whipped cream in my Magic Bullet. I had gotten two cases of the yogurt because Costco had them on sale. The only place I had room for the second case was in the freezer. When thawed, the yogurt was a different consistency (looser and slightly grainy), which I found unappealing. Yasso frozen yogurt bars are featured in Costco's new sales circular. That gave me the idea to make the pops, which I haven't tried yet. The vanilla was smooth and very good; might just help with my ice cream addiction. I got the kitchen cleaned up earlier than usual.

I'll be in my yard today because it will be in the seventies! Yesterday was just cold. Fifties but a chilly breeze.
I have one more section of liriope to cut back. In hind sight, I wouldn't have moved it around to different spots. But, it's pretty when cut back and it's free and plentiful. Really, I could take it out with a weed eater pretty fast but I save the greenery for DH. He mixes it half and half with leaves to start the compost. The weed eater throws them all over the place.
After our big windy storm, the neighbors' unraked leaves are now in my yard. 😮 Actually, I think leaves came from all around the neighborhood and couldn't be prevented. Ah, the price for shade.
Have a nice day everyone!

I've been waking up very early because I'm so cold. This never happened to me before in this apt. Maybe the blood thinners are making me so cold. Either that, or for the first time I'm getting less heat in winter. It is way colder this winter than last, that could be it.

Anyway, wake up cold and can't warm up, even with hot coffee. The cold makes me shake more. Most unpleasant

I've had overnight temperature regulation issues lately myself. I seem to go from chilled to just fine to too warm. Not "sweats" but more of a stifling thing. Try to compensate and soon I'm chilled again. I'm not sure what is going on.

I think the swings from almost warm outside to below freezing just days later is contributing somehow.

I don't understand. The flower seeds were scattered yesterday afternoon. There aren't any flowers yet. Maybe I expect too much? ;)

Today is going to be nice again, warm and sunny most of the day so as soon as the morning stuff is done, I'll be out in the garden again. Tomorrow and Monday are gonna be cold and rainy, and you know I won't be out outside moving anything or planting anything. Every day I say I'm gonna move more monkey grass. Every day I do something else instead.

Okay. I'm moving now...see? Up off my como se llama and off to get stuff done. Y'all have a spendid day.

Good Morning, Everyone 🤗 🌻 :coffee:

I am working on my wonderful, delicious elixir of life (really two cups of coffee in a giant mug) and contemplating the day.

My daughter gave me a dream journal yesterday, which looks life fun, but I forgot to record in it last night and this morning, which is kind of a bummer because I had some weird dreams.

Hope all are feeling good this morning. ❤️ Have some coffee.

In case anyone wants to try this...I also added agave and a couple of packs of Splenda, since Oikos is not sweet enough (IMO). I had one strawberry pop last night and it was good too. The best thing is that I can make these anytime since I always keep all the ingredients in the house. 😛
