How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2025....

Is there a cause for your anemia? I have been anemic too. In my case, colonoscopy ordered as one way to seek out cause.
I like your doctor's style, Pepper. Don't just add pills, find out the CAUSE of the anemia and solve the problem. (Is there internal bleeding, cancer or another health issue? Is it due to poor nutrition? What's going on here?)

Modern medicine is often too focused on making people feel better and improving test results, rather than fixing root causes so underlying health problems are discovered and resolved.

Big pharma and supplement companies are highly protective of their profits. Fix the problem and no pills are necessary. Prescribe meds or supplements and these corporations have a customer for life. Cha-ching.

Good Morning, Everyone 🤗🌻:coffee:

Nice day here, albeit a bit cooler than yesterday. Just came in from the first dog walk with husband, who is off again today. Woot. :)

I have a video appointment with my new therapist today so hoping that goes well.

I did take another bike ride yesterday, but this one was for 20 minutes instead of 40 because I was sore from the longer ride. What I'm learning from riding my bike outside is that I don't really like riding my bike outside. :/ It's a pain to navigate the elements, people on the sidewalks, cars in the road. I'd rather walk outside and use a stationary bike inside. Still, nice to have the bike if I want to run to the store, now that it's warming up.

Forgot to mention:

Husband and I took a scooter ride yesterday, visited a couple thrift stores, which was fun. :) I've been noticing, and mentioned to husband, that we get smiled at a lot. I get the distinct impression that people think we're cute, old couple on a scooter. Husband agrees that is what's happening. Kind of funny and I don't mind. It's nice to have people smile at you as you ride by.

Not feeling all tickety-boo today. I went back to sleep for a couple of hours more, then went out and got another two feet of monkey grass moved. That just plain wore me out, but two feet here, two feet there, and it'll get done. It'll probably take all summer, though.

Made a 'small' chicken pot pie for lunch.
Waiting for it to finish.

Meantime hubby has decided to put up most of the gutters that came off from heavy snow/ice build up.
We had a "discussion" about old verse new.

That hasn't stopped him from trying to get the old parts back up.

I haven't went out to see how things are going.

I believe one backhoe is involved,, couple of ladders? & a plank.

So much for me to getting lily bulbs dung & moved.
Or trying the hedge out & tackle some spruce branches.

Had a very busy day yesterday. Even knocked everything off my mental to-do list (I rarely write out actual lists).

@Georgiagranny Fortunately, we have no monkey grass. TBH, I don't even know what that is, but pretty sure I don't want it. Please don't send any.

Several days ago I read that for stamina, balance, strength, and good health, older folks should be able to skip rope for at least 30 counts. So I did. It definitely raised my heart and breathing rate. Have done it every day since and it's been getting easier. To be fair to myself, I've always been a double jumper, so I'm actually getting in 60 jumps for 30 twists of the rope. I plan to slowly increase the number, but have no intention of jumping rope for 30 minutes a day.

Ladies - a warning about jumping rope if you decide to give this a whirl (pun intended): It's not like when we were ten years old. I have to be sure to completely empty my bladder first and also put on a mini pad. (Two pregnancies including a set of twins, plus old internal plumbing. Nuff said?)

Also, the first day's foray into this taught me to put a second bra on before jumping. Prevents painful upper lady parts.

However, I'm glad add this bit of high intensity exercise to my haphazardly scheduled (but always eventually accomplished before bedtime) daily fitness routine.

Gutters come first.

I feel your pain Gigi...as they day has gone on I feel worse instead of better...🤒

Well feeling as poorly as I do.....the pot has been sweetened today not once but twice..

This morning, I had an email from my bank to say that their merge with another major banking corporation went to so well, they're giving every customer a gift of £50 ...

Then just now.. I had a message from my internet provider.. If you all remember they messed me around like crazy last month with the new installation of Fibre optic 150.... so they've given me £100 in compensation to come off future bills...

...so as poorly as I feel.. that has brightened me up...

Something was discovered on my CT scan, some nodules, and/or inflammation. A nurse is coming to my apartment in the hour to take a blood test. I knew about this yesterday, happened in an odd manner, I thought it was a scam or a joke. I lost my equilibrium. Not good at this stuff. Guess I can't pass even a half test. It's been a bad day for me.

Awesome. Like landing on Free Parking in Monolopy. :)

Just breathe, girl. In. Out. You've got this.

Have you considered reviewing your foods to see where you can add iron/C?
Yes. I do that as well. There are plenty of lists of iron rich food online. I guess it just takes time. Of course my tiredness could have other contributing causes as well. Thanks for your input.

@Babs2u Broccoli and avocados...get as much iron as you can from real veggies.

Bradford pear trees provide nice shade, but when they're in bloom they stink. Really stink. They smell like rotting fish.

I've been to the garden center, got potting soil and some tickseed plants, planted zinnia, cosmos, daisy seeds. Tickseed bedding plants because I haven't been able to find seeds. And the blue phlox and creeping phlox that I got on Sunday have been planted. It's starting to look like a garden :)

Now I'm tired. BBL
Thanks for the tip. I have an avocado that looks just about perfect and I always keep frozen broccoli florets on hand.

On my early walk at 6:50 was hit with a blast of cold air, temp was 28,wasn't expecting that as I walked around the building before breakfast.Yesterday when I went out temp was 45
I really don;t have any plans today just some paper work,go out for another walk before the rain comes later in day
On my mid morning walk around 10:15, it was warmer around 38,p. sunny as I strolled by my childhood home which is 2 blocks from where I live now. It was a nice 25min walk getting fresh air& exercise but it was getting a bit breezy, decided not to go out this afternoon

A typical Wednesday morning. Tai Chi class 10:30-12pm then a not usual Wednesday afternoon. I drove down to the old home town and did the official new Mayor's portrait in her 'Mayor's Parlour'. This will be a big framed print in that space on the wall in the centre of the oak thingie. Also other formal shots for various uses. Leaflets, website profiles etc. Some on her own and some with her husband.

Same here. I keep a goodly stash of plastic and glass jars stored in my garage (back-up) pantry. They come in handy for all manner of things.

DH uses Costco's powdered creamer in his coffee. Costco's big screw-top plastic Cremora containers make GREAT dry goods canisters in the back-up pantry. Unbreakable, durable, and they seal well - never had insects or rodents get into them. Bonsu: I don't have to hunt for what I need because I label the tops and sides of the containers.
Yes they do. When I was buying regular Cremora (or Coffee Mate) and Nesquick too, I'd get those large containers from Costco. Now I prefer sugar free hazelnut Coffee Mate (also powdered). I get a case of 6 from Amazon, sold in the regular size containers sold at supermarkets.

It might be Coffee Mate that he uses, now that I think about it. Shows how much attention I pay to the containers! :ROFLMAO:
