How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2025....

This is from yesterday. I fell asleep before I could post it and when I woke up it was 2 a.m.

My day didn’t go quite like I planned…it went even better. I had a podiatry appointment at 3. I got my clothes and accessories ready and did my nails. I was going to walk to my favorite thrift-consignment shop about 1:00, go for pizza then walk to the doctor’s office. My son told me last night that he was getting off early because he had an appointment, but didn’t know if he would be finished in time to pick me up from the doctor’s office.

Turns out, he got off early enough to take me. When he called to let me know, he said he was stopping at the farmer’s market first. How fortuitous! I had been thinking of asking him to pick up fresh mushrooms if he was going to Amazon Fresh, Trader Joes or Shoprite this week. He got my mushrooms today. :D

My podiatrist is such a sweetheart. As soon as he removed my socks, he said “Your feet look good”. As usual we had a nice chat. After my appointment I needed to go to Dollar Tree. My son thought I meant the one we used to go to on the highway, so he headed there. But I was talking about the newest one that’s also fairly close. The highway store turned out to be the better choice (this time), because it is in a strip mall with a pizza parlor. So I got my pizza and a root beer.

My son helped me shop because he had to make an unplanned stop to pick up my honorary daughter at a pharmacy near where we live and she was ready . Luckily there was no line! I’ve never been to a Dollar Tree when there wasn’t anyone else in line. So I got everything I went for except the Lavoris mouthwash and I’m not completely out, so we’ll get it another time. Yesterday was a good day.

Besides the SOS, all I did today was make more of my frozen yogurt treats. I may or may not put the rest of the laundry away. I'm feeling rather lazy.

Well... what a day.. I have to tell you. Lawyer called, she needed me to sign electronically some forms as a matter of urgency... regardless of how I downloaded those forms I couldn't find a way to sign them

So laywer says ..just print them, sign up re-scan them and send them back... so the gremlins had clearly taken root in my house b/c my computer wouldn't print them no matter what i did.. It kept telling me my printer was offline...

I tested the printing capacity by scanning a seperate sheet of paper.. and it printed it fine.. but trying to print something from my computer which it usually does without any problems... was a no go... I even tried just printing some random thing on my computer not the official forms and still it kept saying my printer was offline..

As this was an urgent set of forms, I was getting really stressed, but finally I was able to get them electronically signed, and uploaded back to the lawyers portal.. .. but it really stressed me out... and I still haven't found the reason why the printer is not seeing what's on my computer

I had an order for delivery with Publix and the shopper delivered it to someone else and said it was delivered to me. I complained and they refunded the order. I reordered and received the delivery. It was weird as the first shopper did have the crackers I ordered and the second shopper said they were sold out. After two items not available, and the $5.00 credit for my inconvenience, the order did cost less.

I do wonder who received the groceries from the first order or if the shopper kept them. They could not contact the shopper on the first order who made the mistake.
This happens to us occasionally, but thankfully, it is always to the house up the street and husband just runs over and grabs the bags. I think he does report it, but we're fortunate not to have to re-shop it. That must have been a pain. :/

You know, our printer does that too sometimes; it's like it gets in a mood. Weird.

I looked up the street and didn't see anything like a delivery or someone looking around, trying to figure it out. It doesn't have my name on the delivery, so the person can keep it.
I had some tasty food on the delivery. This is a first for me.

Yesterday was tiring. Early morning appointment followed by a busy day, on little sleep. Paid the roofing contractor the deductible for a new roof to be installed later this month.

Then the housemates got into a rare shouting match over unresolved accusations. Late in the day my lab results came in showing that I am anemic again. No wonder I have been so tired.

Managed to drive to the store at dusk to pick up iron and vitamin C supplements. I hope they help.
Have you considered reviewing your foods to see where you can add iron/C?

Holly is Your printer WiFi?

Is your printer icon on the left side of your monitor screen? If so click on it and see what you have to learn?

Do you
need it to identify your Wifi. They need to password with each other to get them coupled.
That Box usually has the password on the side of the WiFi Server where your Internet connects.
The obvious thing is not having a cable connection with the Puter to the Printer. If you have the cable
You just need to couple up. If your putter is hard wired then you just need to couple up with the cable.

Most of these new printers are WiFi and the system needs it or a cable. Thats where the WiFi Server comes
in and you just push the button, it blinks till it couples up. The printer needs to be set to Wifi too.

Sometimes
Unplug your server, reboot, push the wifi button and start the process again by doing the same with the printer.
50' or so is a good distance max, you can get wifi extenders for the whole house + too. If your home is 3 floors
a WiFi extender or 2 will then give you great coverages.

The Wifi is great for the Apple 12 pro Ipad too, just like a puter than.

Early this morning, the sky was blue and I thought the nice weather had returned but, by the time we were up and about and ready for the day ahead, the sky was grey and it was cold again :(. It was bitterly cold yesterday and now I have the sniffles - I think I will stay warm and wait until the weather heats up again ;)

I have some alterations to make so, the sewing machine will be busy today. :)

Morning all earlybirds!!! Slept okay last nite, feel good (so far)
this morning...45F out there, up to around 70 later, no rain, and
we do need rain...have a guy coming by to pick limbs up and
haul them away today, so I can get the yard ready for mower
man....got some bills to pay, otherwise another dull day in
the life of ME!! LOL.....;):love::coffee:

Morning folkies... I had a terrible nights sleep... I've got a chest infection , have had it for a couple of days now, and it stops me breathing for a second or 2 and makes me choke....really horrible.. so for the second night I was kept awake most of the night coughing and choking...🤒

My voice is very gravelly and about an octave deeper than normal.....

I can only think I must have picked something up in the crowds on Sunday at the Stately home...

Fortuntely I have nowhere I need to be today or the rest of the week...

Today my new keyboard is arriving so fingers crossed you will no longer be subjected to missed letters, and jumbled words...

have a better day everyone..🤗

Hi, PT....yes it is Wi-Fi...no the icon is not left of the screen

I've been into settings and printers, and nothing seems to be amiss. It's showing the printer is online.. yet when I try to print something it changes to show it ''offline''... there's no reason for it to do this, it's been working fine for many years... and I haven't changed anything on my computer or the printer..

@packleader, DH & I have been following following Jackie & Shadow for years - started during the pandemic, perhaps earlier. Love the three little eaglets. In prior years, J & S have frequently had difficulty getting eggs to hatch or fledglings to survive, so these three babies are a special joy for So Cal folks who follow them.

Congratulations to your wife on her retirement! I look forward to reading about the happy changes to your life adventures!

Dull can be pleasant! Enjoy it.

Good idea to convert the box into storage for the juice bottles. The coffee I sometimes buy comes in nice little jars which, once empty, are perfect for storing buttons and things. I actually used some in the freezer, filled with some ice cream and fruit and leaving space at the top for the contents to expand when frozen, they make good individual desserts. I like finding uses for things which seem too good to waste :)
One of the reasons I love shopping at Costco is that the items come in sturdy reusable containers. Over the years I've used their plastic containers as canisters for dry goods and nuts. I got a nice sized one when I bought the almond biscotti.
Same here. I keep a goodly stash of plastic and glass jars stored in my garage (back-up) pantry. They come in handy for all manner of things.

DH uses Costco's powdered creamer in his coffee. Costco's big screw-top plastic Cremora containers make GREAT dry goods canisters in the back-up pantry. Unbreakable, durable, and they seal well - never had insects or rodents get into them. Bonsu: I don't have to hunt for what I need because I label the tops and sides of the containers.
