Good news for me

I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance in addition to Medicare (and doesn't cost me a dime.) The lady who wrote the policy is a friend and told me yesterday that as of Jan 1, payments on outpatient surgery would be increased significantly. All the more reason to push the cataract surgery to January, which I had planned to do anyway.

On another matter, I have a PUR water filter attachment on my kitchen faucet. I've had it for years and replace the disposable filters when the light turns from green to red. You know it's working when you get a green light. All of a sudden, there is no flashing light of either color even with a new disposable put in. I called PUR and she offered right away to send me the entire unit & 2 new filters, saving me a good deal of money.

Yesterday was a good day!!!

You're on a roll!!!!

I really am on a roll.....as you know I'm a nanny -- to the most precious 6 yr old (Jordan) you can imagine. There are lots of perks, i.e., out of town trips with the dad & Jordan, lunches and dinners with the mom & dad, which ever one has him. They've been divorced for 5 years, so Jordan is extremely well adapted and gets the best of both worlds. And I couldn't love the child more if he were my grandson, been with him since he was 3 and he's almost 7.

His mom just called and asked me to join them for dinner at a new restaurant tonight....dad included...and for no real reason....just something to look forward to for all of us. I am very grateful to get along so well with both of them. It's so much more than a job to me.

My g'daughter told me awhile back (after the dad sent the 2 of us on a cruise)...."Nana, your job rocks!" LOL, don't you love teenager's expressions?

In the meantime....I'm feeling extremely lucky and very grateful.
