Return of the Queen

Well, I've not been on the site for a bit. I've been busy.

But a very brief update is that, yes, my wife came home and we're together once more. Phew!

It's taken a long time, with many curves in the road (outside stuff going on with families etc.), but after a patient wait, talking, and daily communication - she has come back so we can swan off into the latter years of our lives together.

Yah!

Love! Ain't it grand?

Love! Ain't it grand?

I've learned that I can happily live alone, but that realization doesn't mean I *have* to be alone. I like having a partner, someone to share each day with. Then there are the marriage vows, which I took seriously. Sure, we've delved into the "worse" areas of the "better or worse" line, but that's to be expected in a marriage of multiple decades.

Love changes over time, from those initial days of "early nights", to the latter stages of just needing to know that your partner is safe in this world. I didn't have the option to live as a single person, because of what I promised all those years ago.

Now we must learn how to adjust and make things work again. It's odd after being alone for so long. But I know we can do it. That's what life is about at the end of the day, imo.

Thanks for the messages people.
