Did the e-checkin for a Monday 1:15 PM routine Doctor appt, saw that I had some lab work that needed doing first.

I waffled, but when I saw that the last slot of the day for lab appts. at a nearby location was still open I jumped on it. Got my act together and out the door in plenty of time. I asked, and lab techs confirmed the results will be ready by the time of my Monday appt.

It beats a walk-in where you might wait 90 minutes, and if closing time comes first you come back another day.

I hate screwing around with this stuff or I'd have had the blood draws done months ago. Lots of extra checking done this time, I even had to confirm name and birth date stickers placed on all 3 tubes of drawn blood today.

Had brunch at IHOP with a group of 15 seniors who are happy to have some place to gather twice a month. The six dollar menu was available even with the high price of eggs. Someone brought a cake for a birthday celebration.

My new roof was completed by 1:30. A hardworking family of 5 began promptly at 7AM and it looks great.

The cardiologist called me back twice on a Friday and had a two-week supply of Xarelto samples ready for me to pick up. (That translates to more than $200. savings.)

If I wasn't so tired I would be thrilled.

You know I'm really irritated because I was supposed to be going to the car show today which is held outside.. and it's a beautiful sunny day, the first time it hasn't rained for the car show in 4 years... and I was so looking forward to it. and of course I'm not well enough to go out...

here's some from previous years...

Holly you may have slidden a lil anemic. That causes lots of tiredness and out of breath problems with us elders along with that nasty Virus?
My wife's a Redhead and she gets an occasional transfusion for the same Scott / Irish stuff in her bloodline. We watch Outlander often, all
Series years, so much good acting and parts, not so much waste time scenes of carnage. Some sick stuff though! :ROFLMAO:

I'm not aneamic... In fact just 2 days before I fell ill with this, I was sent for a battery of blood tests..one was to test for aneamia.. and that was clear...

I need to keep up. Did your daughter get a new dog after losing two wonderful dogs a short time ago? I hope so and I'm so glad the dog signed your get well card.

Our lil Cotton loves to run on her leash with the golf Cart at our Lake Golf Course.
She is 9 this spring and sleeps a lot unless if when she can get outside. So smart lil girl!
I think the runs add years to her life, stretched out like a wolf in paradise chasing game too.

Got up early to drop the wife at the airport for a 7:30 am flight, thankfully no deer, or elk on the road either way. The route has a lowered speed limit while dark because of the prevalence of wildlife crossing the road.

Showed up at the lifts only to find the spud truck. I made my living selling Idaho potatoes so it's kinda personal.

Skied a few laps w the worlds best skiers as they warm up for the FIS World Cup Finals. Unfortunately there is an abundance of skiers that can't ski on the mountain that shouldn't be there as well.

Then I posted up here waiting on the ladies to ski their practice runs.

World Cup skier on her practice run for tomorrow's downhill race. Alpine skiing has 4 events; slalom, giant slalom, super-giant slalom(Super-G), and downhill. The turns and the course get longer and speed gets higher from slalom to downhill.

Took a nap this pm and now ready for the actual racing to start tomorrow. It's on Peacock (NBC) in the states.

This morning I updated my budget sheet and went to the supermarket. This afternoon I loaded and ran the dishwasher. I watched TV for a bit then finished up my federal return and started on the state. For some reason the process seems a little more complicated this year. The only other thing I did on my to do list was to transfer some of my bottled water from the case to a more easily accessible. sturdier storage container. I did that so my son could put the case under the dining table and stack his water on top. We drink different brands. Since I have a Brita pitcher, I hardly ever drink the bottled water; he does every day.

Very windy yesterday so we didn't do much work in the garden. Today its both wet and windy, so definitely no work outside.

I'm in the process of changing the light switches in the house - the current ones are a bit sticky and discoloured. There are hundreds of different styles, but I had trouble finding exactly what I wanted. The biggest problem was with the 'intermediate' switch in the hallway. These switches are used to allow lights to be turned on or off from multiple places.

Eventually I saw one on Amazon and I'm just waiting for it to be delivered. Two way switching is common here, but seemingly not 3+ ways.

I'm cooking chicken Bhuna for dinner.

Good morning. Slept nine blissful hours. Will have good night sleep tonight too I bet to make up for getting up one am yesterday.

Tablet hard as my hands shake. I like a computer. It's easier for me to use. Sorry to complain.

Today I get lucky. Son and grandson coming around 11am. Want to take a lovely shower soon.
Well just checking in to my very important people. Have fun day everyone.

Last night I had the weirdest dream

I dreamt that my husband had his guns stolen.. not normal guns but mighty powerful guns...and they had a unique number printed on them...

I told him that people who live close by probably had stolen them and were hidden in their huge rusty metal storage barn.... so we both broke in to the barn when the 3 men were out. and we found the guns, but just as we did we heard the 3 men about to enter the big doors of the barn.. so with all my might, I bashed open the back wall of the big rusty barn.. and we made a run for it with the guns through the undergrowth...

How weird.... I don't know 3 men with a big rusty barn... nor does my husband have powerful guns , stolen or otherwise
It reminds me of what I just saw about Alec Baldwin and his silly wife berating him on the red carpet. His ex probably felt some sense of "good god, I need to help you get your power back. You look pathetic!"
Are my thoughts too weird? 😁
