Are you secretive about your age?

I used to say I was 29 when I was in my late 30s, and some bought that. But nobody believed that when I was in my 40s. Now, next month, I'll be 79, and I look it. So, why lie?
Are you secretive about your age? Do you knock a few years if you tell your friends your age?

It’s better to say you’re a lot older than you are, then folk will think how good you are for your age
If you try to knock off some years folk will think you must have had a hard paper round in your youth.

Yes. I am sensitive about my age. Everyone on this forum either knows my actual age or has figured it out. But I look younger than my age and that lifts my spirits so I don't volunteer information.

No. Considering my parents & 3 brothers didn't live past the age of 62 it's more like fascinated that I'll be 84 pretty soon.

that's the secret isn't it, lol... hang out with older people , they will always think you look young.. and to other people viewing the group, you will definitely look the youngest

chic you should.. I tell people in real life how old I am.. and they say ''Not a chance, no way ''... thought you were much younger...

My mother-in- law claimed to be 39 even when in her 80's. I told her that her son was older than her and she just laughed. It was just a joke with her family.

No one asks my age, so I don't mention it. If on here, I will tell you I am 80.

I've mentioned it here that lately strangers have been asking my age frequently. Can't figure out the reason. I don't share information with strangers. I started to answer "why do you ask?"

yes all our family used to say the same..

strangers never ask me.. .I mean people in the street..but Doctors and nurses etc... have made these comments about me..

In all honesty I think they see my name and age on their file, before I enter the room, so they are more than likely expecting someone to look older..

I brag about my age, I worked my ass off to get here. I mean that with all senserity, I always looked forward to a time when I could slow my life down and enjoy the fruits of my labor, and that's now.

I actually had a guy at work, just last week, say "Really? You don't look it. I thought you were around 50"

It caught me off guard, because that's the first time anyone ever said I looked younger than I am.
