Beautiful spring pictures, @-Oy-. I think the new paint job for the train would be the equivalent as new Easter clothes.

Steam locomotives are the coolest thing mankind ever came up with. The sound, the look. It still excites the hearts not like the more modern engines that hide what it is they're doing to make themselves go.

Great pictures. My nearest railway is a preserved line and I can sometimes hear the train whistle from here.

It's the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway. From Cheltenham Racecourse to Broadway.

We had Tornado visit Dorset, coming down the main line to Wareham then onto the preserved heritage railway line known as: The Swanage Railway. I thought that it would have been about ten years ago. Looking it up I find that it was actually fifteen years ago. Time? Where does it go?

I can almost hear the train whistle blowing .. memories of childhood. We always waved to the conductor and caboose-man, and they waved back.
