What I read was that they tinkered with grey wolf DNA to produce these cute puppies, that will likely grow up to be giants. And they plan to make several more. Are they going to keep these in a zoo?

I would bet a dollar that somewhere in the world, likely China, someone is doing similar experiments with humans.

Why not just help real live elephants and other animals survive too.

Well as you know the Tasmanian Tiger was extinct by men so not a natural extinction .

@WhatInThe Apparently Jurassic Park came to mind for the GMA correspondents too. It was mentioned that perhaps scientists should take a lesson from how that turned out. They showed a clip of a Jurassic dinosaur being docile, the one baring teeth, getting ready to try to eat (whoever).
