I mean to say yesterday I tried out my new dual basket Airfryer. It took me a few minutes to work out the settings on it.. without looking at the instructions, but once I did..I tested a frozen uncooked sausage roll in it.. and it cooked it faster than it would in my Cosori.. just a minute or so but that's a lot in an AF...

For now it's not as instinctive as my Cosori, but I'm bound to get used to it...

@StarSong , DGS is stating they have hand foot and mouth disease.

I never heard of this before, but apparently it's common. Take care of yourself!

Hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) is a viral illness that usually resolves on its own within 7-10 days, and there's no specific treatment, focusing on symptom relief and preventing dehydration.
About Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease
My greatgranddaughters have had it several times over the years. It's quite common in daycare centers as the kids have their hands in their mouths a lot and it's pretty contagious.

Had to go back to the grocery store for the bananas I forgot yesterday. Got distracted by finding a $20 bill on the floor. I asked the few people around there. After I checked out, I took it to the service desk. The grumpy clerk took it and then I asked what’ll happen. It’ll go to the accounts room. If someone inquires, they’ll get it back. Not sure how any other clerk on duty would know the money was turned in. The thing that p.o.’d me was her comment “well, you won’t be getting it back.” My reply was that I’d like to know it would go to charity. What I really wanted to say was ‘if I had wanted it, I would have just kept it.’
@Jules
The cheek of that employee, to make such a comment!

Another good day. I installed the new ink cartridges. The printer manual wasn’t helpful at all, so I had to check “YouTube University” to see how to do it. I was running behind schedule with the printing and getting everything ready for mailing my taxes. I usually change into my street clothes, but decided not to take the extra time to do that. I threw on a maxi coat over my dress and headed out about 2:40 (around the time I’ve noticed is less busy). It felt cooler than the 57 degrees shown in my weather app and it was windy. I was glad I wore my wool coat.

I lucked out. There was no one in line when I got there! Good thing because I had to fill out new certified mail forms. The ones I did at home were obsolete. Getting my taxes mailed out is a weight off my shoulders. This is the first time I’ve had to mail them in years (due to an IRS error when I tried to e-file).

When I got home, I was talking with my neighbor who was in the hall waiting for her daughter's transport. She even said how lucky I was to go when there was not a line. I had a busy day, finishing up reorganizing stock and putting around in here before sunrise. I also balanced my checkbooks, so when I got home from the post office, I was tired. I ate a snack, took my meds and fell asleep. I woke up around 10:30. Didn't feel like making anything, so I had a bowl of Cheerios and yogurt for dinner.

It's another nice morning although rain is predicted over the weekend.

No real plans for today other than to pop out for a walk later and a visit to the shops. Now that the weather is better, I have noticed that the shops are a bit bonkers on a Saturday so, might as well go on a quieter day and avoid the busy weekend folk.

Life seems to be very relaxed recently, I hope I haven't got a list of urgent things to do which I have forgotten!

Have a good Friday everyone :)

It rained a good bit last night. My plants are happy.
I don't think we'll go out for fajitas today. I'll be weeding since the rain loosened them up.
Tomorrow I'm going to my daughter's and will eat out then.
DH'S last hormone shot is wearing off and his energy is coming back. Glad to see that! And glad he's done with that therapy.

Warm overnight for a change, and warm but breezy today. With help from son, got a patch dug for potatoes. Mrs.L is feeling much better today and hopefully will get some of the potatoes planted tomorrow. Took the weeds and assorted garden rubbish to the recycling centre, and then dropped into ALDI for a couple of things.
I generally prefer Lidl, but we had to pass the recently opened ALDI, so it was convenient.

Going to be hot today…hope it does not make me turn on the air. Have been working a bit on the project house. I drive 75 miles to get there…so try to limit to once or twice a week. Managed to get the tile in second bedroom layed…now I have to grout. I am NOT fond of grouting. The constant yo yo news is totally stressing me out again. Thank goodness for you kind folks. Hope Holly your back improves…Georgia you are my hero!!

We're making final preparations for our first camping trip of the year to Cape Disappointment in WA which is in the mouth of the Columbia River. We're going to dig razor clams for a couple days w my college buddy, and his wife. Wide open beaches and tons of driftwood - perhaps a raging bonfire would be fun! Wx is predicted to be tolerable (high 50's°F, no rain) so that's a big plus. I've never eaten a razor clam, but I'm hoping they'll make a great ceviche.

To those with aches and pains and those feeling anxious (including me) - peace!

The Trigimanal neuralgia they have been treading for pain relief switched from 1800mg Gabapentin to Pregabalin taper. Last night I almost lost it I was in so much pain. Oh boy Friday and the weekend. I called the Dr. 1st thing this morning and told the nurse. I don't know what the Dr. will do, but I told her to change something or it is.going to be a screwed up weekend.

PD....I absolutely know 100 % what you're going through.....ask your doctor for Carbamezapine.... also known as tegretol

I have suffered with TGN on and off since my early 20's...suicidal with the pain at one point in my life. Long trail of various painkillers, doctors and cosultants without any relief, before finally I was sent to see a Maxillofacial Surgeon at the London Marsden Hopsital

I always remember the consultant holding my hand telling me that if I had that pain in my leg I could cope with it but so close to my brain it was impossible to cope...and I knew then he was the first Doctor to understand.

I take Carbamezapine 40mg every day... ... please ask your doctor for it....

Plus I was nervous until they landed. I worry.
Pepper, my friend, don't ever feel bad or scold yourself about worrying over your loved ones. Yesterday my daughter was driving DGS to school and stopped well back from a red light because there were train tracks ahead. DGS sat directly behind her.

A car ran the red light, hit a truck, caromed off the truck, slammed into her, then hit the car behind her. What would have been a tragedy 25 years ago when cars were less safely built, was not, thank heavens. But it serves a reminder that we can't always see what will unfold 30 seconds from now, sometimes not even 5 seconds.

The driver behind her had a dashcam that showed her and his car getting hit. She sent me the video, but it seems I can't upload it here because it's an mp4. Trust me, it's unnerving to watch when it's your family in the car.

Worrying over the well-being of our loved ones is the small price we pay for having them in our lives. ❤️

Nobody involved in the accident was hurt - a miracle - and all are fully insured. DD's car is fixable, she's already gotten a rental, and she & DGS are not overly sore this morning.
