Like a lot of guys things get very untidy in my one bedroom grandad flat! - doesn't bother me a lot [sorry no photos allowed] but every now and then comes a cracking point - often when my son says he's dropping in - taught him good domestic standards must set an example!! hahaha

but have not been feeling too well [won't go into details] but today was " I have had enough of this so rubbish day" three plastic bags filled and binned so far - and I must admit despite not being a woman yet that it does look better - there I've said it !! it's keeping it right that is the problem? still there is more to da so back to the brush ; pan and mop!

JMO. When you live alone and theres no one to see your mess its easy to become lazy and put things off.
Lets me see. I can watch cat videos and post in the forum and do jigsaw puzzles online. OR.
I can vacuum. #Woopie

Seriously the way I manage to get stuff done is I intersperse work with things that interest me.
Ex. I clean for 30 mins then I play for 30 mins. Repeat. Eventually stuff gets done. :D
Today I cleaned out the flower beds and mowed part of the yard. Now Im chatting and working a puzzle. :D.

Try to devote a half hour each day to domestic chores and you will be amazed at how easy it is to keep things neat and clean. 🧹🧼🧽🧺

I do most of my chores in little blocks of time during television commercial breaks.

Good luck!

Aunt Bea - Quentin Crisp never lived in the land of permanently blowing baby fine red clay dust. I actually wondered why the builder used red grout at the windows. It started out linnen colored.

I have to make my bed every morning. Also, I do not like clutter or clothes that aren't hung up; dishes that aren't washed. But my bathroom is one exception. It's not dirty, but often messy with too many items on the countertop. I've tried to make myself stop doing that, but it's never worked out well.

Put all of the clutter in a basket on the counter and it will instantly look like you are a neat freak.

It will also make it easier to clean the counter.

I know it sounds weird but it works. 😉🤭😂

I hate beds and since my divorce 7 years ago have slept on the sofa so the bed is always made but the sofa is not as a mess and that is how I like it .

Sofa faces the tv and large box fan right by it , not like I get guests so no need to tidy up my sleeping sofa .

I used to be a slob. I don't know what happened, but I became a clean freak. Now, if someone knocks on my door, I won't feel totally embarrassed at how I live. It's April and nobody's knocked on my door this year, but I'm OK if they do.
'' I used to be a slob.''

But it was fun wasn't it ?

My husband used to do a lot of work around the house but due to medical problems, he is now unable to do them. I like things tidy and clean but I have to let some things go longer than I want. Being in the military helped my husband wanting things clean and tidy.
