the same plan for today LOL....usual aches and pains and some
new stuff LOL...;):cool::coffee::love:
You fill find some trouble to get into. I have no doubt.

Finally got our taxes done & filed,,,,,yaaaaa!
Back home from that chore,, time to think about lunch.

Frozen meat balls got turned into spaghetti.
Grabbed up the wrong thing to make it in,, but all worked out.

Hubby got a call for firewood,, person was Out of. wood!
This customer had bough a large amount of firewood in the fall.
His house must have No insulation?

I went out to help hubby load the truck with longer wood that customer uses.
Wind was cold , rain or hail beat on us as we tried to work.

Hubby was having a problem with checking account,, I should see I can figure it out. 🤓

Well just a little while ago my neighbour brought this around.. and as he handed it to me he said... ''Happy Birthday'' :D

It's actually really huge.. and filled with strawberries, blueberries, cream and pancakes filled with chocolate... I could honeslty have fed 3 people on this...

It's no wonder their kids are so big for their ages.. they really do believe in large servings

It is delicous tho'.. but I only managed about 4 spoonfuls .. and I was stuffed, there's 3/4's of it in the fridge

First, I spent a couple of hours planting some new flowers I bought yesterday. I plant them in the pots out on my enclosed porch, which seems to act like a greenhouse. My plants love it. I enjoyed the planting part, didn't enjoy all the cleanup afterward.

Later, a friend stopped by and we had a nice visit. Then, I worked on my jigsaw puzzle (a wonderful painting of a street scene of London) while having my usual 1/2 glass of wine that I have most afternoons, a good claret, and listening to Mahler's Second Symphony, a big favorite of mine, especially since I sang it in the chorus back in my chorale days. What an incredible piece of music that was!

For dinner, I had crab cakes, a Maryland staple, and ice cream with strawberries and a banana for dessert. And on and off throughout the day, my three kids and I texted about various things. We're planning a visit this weekend to one of my grandkids, her husband and two adorable children. Haven't seen the little ones for a few months, so I can't wait.

Wow, sometimes you get a really spicy onion. I bought some yellow onions on sale and stored them in the fridge to extend their life, but nonetheless some are trying to sprout. Now they are so pungent that I have to slice them thinner for a sandwich, salad, etc. None have gone soft though, so there's that.

Yellow Onions are way too strong for my taste. I like the big white onions for everything— sandwiches, sautéed, in casseroles 🤠🤠

All in our garden: left, our Texas Umbrella Tree, and right a Eucalyptus Tree, are in full bloom. Soon they will be joined by blooming
Magnolia, Silk Oak, Crepe Myrtle, and Jacaranda trees. Eucalyptus trees bloom either white or pinkish-red.

Some 50 years ago, we over-planted the garden just to see some greenery. But grown up, the place has become too crowded.
So, my son-in-law started thinning out some trees (here, cutting down an Azores Palm Tree.) Less actually looks more beautiful.

Left: after his successful mouth surgery, I have to spoon-feed my 9 y/o big guy "Ross" for about two weeks with canned dog food.
Right: Hawks have been breeding in our trees for several years, and I can't wait till the chicks are hatching. A few years ago, a fledgling
left the nest too early, my dogs brought it to me, I called animal control, and they nurtured the little guy till it could fly away.

~ Just before sunrise I went down to the laundry room and washed clothes.
Of course I dried them up here in my dryer. I only put away the garments that get hung up.
~ I took care of some business matters both by phone and online.
~ I finished the liquid soap making process. This batch will be my body wash.
~ I had phone conversations with my honorary daughter, a good friend and my sister.

I'm glad to read that Ross's surgery was successful. How nice that your SIL helped you with those trees.

Mornin' Folkies...

Another Sunny morning...☀️☀️🌷

Just rung the doctor for an appointment.. I was number 31 in the queue..

My doctor has 2 surgeries ( offices).. in a small market town.. there are 12 doctors in total between the 2... and yet I routinely end up in a long telephone queue to make an appointment, and an even longer wait for that appointment.. Today I was offered a telephone appt for a week hence.. a face to face appt would be one month from now

I can't imagine what it must be like for people who live in the city...🤨

I think it was Keith Richards who said "I'm glad to be here. I'm glad to be anywhere." Me too. The whole day yesterday I was violently shaking. Unbearable. Today just glad to be here with all of you. Later. I will come back later. Not well. Something wrong.

Yaaaay! DS's relentless quest for the new computer he needs has paid off. Remember the old commercial "Dude! You're getting a Dell!"? Well he just kept trolling the websites, and the one that was sold out two days ago is in stock again direct from Dell at $1000 less than the only one he could find on Amazon. He's a very happy camper this morning...so excited that he just called me at 7am to relay the news. He won't get it for 15 days. For an extra $58 he could get expedited shipping and get it in 12 days. That's expedited? Nah. He'd rather keep that $58.

Hey, boys and girls, on another forum a poster said that she's plagued by neuropathy in her feet and read that rubbing Vicks Vaporub on them helps. She didn't believe it because her docs have prescribed any number of things for her that don't work. She figured what the heck, why not try, and it worked! If y'all have neuropathy, maybe give it a try.

Medication is packaged "child proof". So let your inner child out!

A beautiful morning! A quick dash through the house. Then dealing with Habanero babies. I need to pull out Holly Hock babies. Cannot seem to give them away. Some in their second year are two feet and bloom stalks are coming up. Hello bees!

SO found a useful tenant under a flower pot. Slim, the gartersnake. He is eating snails and doing a good job of it by the pile of empty houses.

Chirping tiny sounds are coming out of two nest boxes. There will be scruffies in no time. They are so much fun to watch.

Mumsy is so proud that she is down to 60 kilos at 5'9. She got agressive about it when I changed the topic. That is 20 pounds in one year and she was unhealthy skinny then. Her daughter supports this. ??? SO sent chocolate. It is one of her vices.

We smoked two hams yesterday, portioned and froze most of it. Looks like quiche for dinner to me:>)
