Thanks for twigging my memory, @Pepper. My mother’s rag bag fell apart many years ago. I replaced it with an old Rubbermaid laundry hamper with a cover. I still use the term ‘rag bag’ when referencing it.
P.S. It didn’t inspire me to dust today. 😊

Ragbag! It's where we kept the rags that would eventually be torn into strips, sewn end-to-end and made into braided rugs. While we were waiting for enough for a rug, if there was a need for a rag...

Another one is button box. My mother's button box fell apart years ago so my button box is now an old canning jar :ROFLMAO:. To me it's still the button box.

I dunno @hollydolly, would it help to have a cup of coffee when you get sleepy during the day to help you stay awake until bedtime? Worth a try?

GiGI...I drink caffeine all day long...

Your grandson is gorgeous @dilettante
Thanks. I worry about him a bit. Developmental issues. Common thing with IVF babies born to older mothers. He gets a ton of help but still lags his peers a lot.

Three is very late to be barely articulate, and he gets obsessed over things like the alphabet and colors. My boys were nothing like that. His dad was quiet until almost two, then when he started talking he never shut up. Both brothers were talking by 14 months.

Attended a joyful 7am Easter mass with much singing...He is Risen...Alleluia!

At noon will drive 55 freeway miles north to San Francisco to park on streets near Golden Gate Park for what will be a huge crowd and sure to be lively 4/20 non-official event at Hippie Hill. Will be sunny with a 74F high here in Santa Clara County but only 61F up in the City with cool overcast marine air pushing in.

Then at 5pm will park at a favorite free and safe location closer to Chase Arena that is on the west bayshore waterfront, and attend for the first time ever a free Watch Party on a 72 foot tall outdoor screen for the 6:30pm Warriors versus Rockets game One of the NBA playoffs.

After Georgiagranny said this (right out loud!) I started remembering the Georgia Kudzu which absolutely fascinated me all the time we lived there. I'd make my husband pull over so I could look at it. Whole fields and forest areas taken over like something out of a Stephen King novel!
Dear Mother Nature: Please excuse GiGi from tending you today. She's not feeling it because it's a holiday. You're on your own until tomorrow morning.

I think it's awesome! It grows about a foot per day. I kind of love it.

Hm. If I drink coffee after about 3pm, I can kiss sleeping at night goodbye!
No not me sadly..I can eat dark chocolate and drink caffeine all day long, doesn't stop me sleeping..

The problem of course is the pain which is giving me a horrible night's sleep..so even if I found something that will stop me napping .. I still face the problem when I got to bed of the pain.... an eternal cycle...

I think I'm going to sleep on the sofa for a night and see if my back hurts as much, if it doesn't then this expensive new mattress has got to go sadly..

How many inches. The one I have is 3 inches.
If the mattress is doing your back in, it’s time to replace it.
Jules my mattress topper is 4 inches... my mattress is brand new..I got an expensive new made to measure bed at the end of November, so it's only 4 months old...the mattress is Orthopedic..it's VERY firm..I didn't realise just how firm it was when I tried it in the store.. I thought by putting my mattress topper on it would be ok... but it clearly is not, because the pain in my back after I've been in bed for about 3 hours is excrutiating...

I WISH YOU ALL A HAPPY EASTER SUNDAY

Left:
On my walk with the Boxer pups this morning, I took a coffee break at Starbucks to keep me going. The pups are my protection.
They will attack anyone who gives me a dirty look. When we four walk abreast, then everyone gets out of our way. I feel secure with them.
Right: Yesterday I cut an Olive Tree in our garden. Stretch your imagination: can you see the head of a poodle in the grain of the wood?

At first I saw a mushroom. Then I saw the dog. 🐕

My day has been good so far. It's still early...1pm.
I planted 3 of my tomato plants that I got at HD for 98c each...then I ran out of bagged soil. I'll finish up tmrw.
Watered the trees and shrubs. Supposed to hit 80* today.

Will clean the kitchen, do a load of wash...then call it a day, and turn on the TV.

Dolly You might like an electric recliner with vibration and heating.
Most all Elders with Back / Joint problems / pain prefer to nap / sleep on them / find the comfy spots and settings quickly.

Easter Sunday is no Easter Sunday without my grandson hunting for Easter eggs.

My 6 y/o grandson loves my mini-gym, while his Beagle puppy renews her friendship with my 3 Boxer pups.

Great family get-together with the exception of my other daughter, who visited yesterday the Taj Mahal near New Delhi and
at this moment is flying back to Hong Kong, where she lives and works just across the 20? mile Perl River Delta near Macau.
In June she will come home to pursue post-graduate studies in SoCal. -- Are all little kids clowns like my grandson?

Well it's been a lovely Easter but I've been 'on' all day and it's now almost 5pm and I am ready to switch 'off' and relax... soft yoga pants on, propped up in bed with some healthy munchies and watching some YouTube videos.

I have especially enjoyed watching a young lady in North Dakota, Tia Weston, refurbish a house... she's very down to earth and just the whole 'girl-next-door' vibe... no silly renovation or decorating ideas that make you scratch your head and say, "Whhhaaattt?" She and her dad have done 95% of the work (except electric/plumbing/furnace) and it's just a joy to watch.
