Why do computer prompts do these things?πŸ€”

Why do they suggest such unlikely options?πŸ™„πŸ«£

And I don't mean all the changes due to spellings and typos.

I mean as an example, that every time I write my own first name, after the first 2 letters, it makes suggestions that repeatedly include a different name that yes I did use a few times, in the past but that was many months ago.

Oh, my own name is not even in the first list of prompts.

Another example:
Every time I try to write the word, and,
The spellchecker changes it to Amid.
It's Amid that common?

I don't remember ever using that word, but I have to remember to correct it every day.

πŸ€”πŸ˜¬πŸ™„πŸ˜Œ
It's exhausting, not helpful.

AI is that unintelligent?

Oh, I didn't mention that the word Amid, it subs in for the word, and, is always capitalized, even in the middle of a sentence.

It's, is nearly always subbed in for the word, is.

I rest my frustrated case. 😁

If you're on a laptop, and creating a document, you can disable spell check and suggestions in settings within the application. I use Open Office instead of WORD and there is a TOOLS option up at the top. I click there, then choose OPTIONS, where I can disable the features that I don't want in my toolbar. In WORD, it may be different, so try going to FILE, then options.

I'm definitely going to read every single post in this thread at some later time, I'm too exhausted right now.

But I appreciate the responses.!

For the word responses, it changed it to: rapunzel.

I've never used that, and it would not be logical. πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

All those auto-fill words have been stored on your device after you once entered them and can be deleted, starting over. Occasionally when not paying attention logging into wherever, I may type my password instead of a user name that I definitely do not want sitting in an auto-fill listing. So just delete all of them. Generally, I find auto-fill functions in text and document applications annoying, so turn such options off.

Thank you.
I don't use office since it stopped being included but your post still gives me ideas to consider.

Thank you, to you,

And to @Rich

I can't wait to try those ideas.
