Today the world remembers the millions of Jews massacred by European Nazis from 1933 to 1945. The Nazis also massacred many more millions of other Europeans. Of course, after WW 2 was over from 1946 to 1949 the Russians massacred millions of Germans while raping their Frauleins in the millions.

Finally, our great American nation, the USA, happened to murder 4 million indigenous people (we now call them "Indians" because Columbus thought he had landed in India). We also imported 6 million black Africans to become our slaves for life. If a great, KINDLY, nation like the USA did these terrible things, just think of what the less kindly had done to others in their long histories.

Sir Nicholas Winton.

In 1939, a young British stockbroker organised the rescue of 669 mainly Jewish children from Nazi-occupied Czechoslovakia, arranging their safe passage to Britain. He worked tirelessly, overcoming bureaucracy and raising funds, without seeking recognition.

After the war, he stayed silent about what he had done; his story only came to light decades later when his wife found old records in their attic. Nicholas Winton lived to 106 and was eventually knighted.

Honours:
Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE)
(1983) – for services to refugee children.
Knight Bachelor (2003) – for services to humanity.

Order of Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk (1998) – One of the highest honours in the Czech Republic, given for outstanding contributions to democracy and human rights.
Order of the White Lion (1st Class) (2014) – The highest honour of the Czech Republic, personally awarded by the President, Miloš Zeman, when Winton was 105 years old.

Warner Bros. movie -- One Life, trailer:

Yom HaShoah, the Jewish Holocaust Remembrance Day was the 24th... a few days ago. International Holocaust Remembrance Day was January 27.

Is Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, today in Israel? Or maybe the confusion is in the date, 27th of Nisan, in the Jewish calendar?

To be honest Mitch, you can read up what they have done.
