Did you know that Walt Disney had Canadian family roots ?

Back when I was a teenager and went to Disneyland, I saw Walt Disney in person. He waved at us and I thought he reminded me of my grandfather. I was sad when I heard he died.

I do not have Facebook but interesting about his father being born in Bluevale, Ontario.

That’s cool. I’ve been to Disneyland and Disneyworld a few times and didn’t know this.
There’s a LOT of people.

Yes. I did know that :)

Did you know that I do, too? Not just any Canadian roots, but very distinguished
Canadian roots. Not royalty, but nobility, and only two generations removed. And I'm darned proud of my Canadian roots.

Thats interesting, given that Canadian citizens have not been allowed to have British titles, since around 1931, when the Statutes of Westminster granted Canada full legal and political independence from Great Britain. In the 1990's , Conrad Black, a wealthy Canadian businessman, gave up his Canadian citizenship, in order to become Lord Black of Coal Harbour, and sit in the House of Lords in London. He later petitioned the Canadian Government to re-store his Canadian citizenship, but was denied. His Canadian born Wife sponsored him for Permanent Resident status, and he now lives in Toronto , again.

So, without naming actual names, who were your Canadian "Nobility " family members , and what is your relationship to them? JIM.

I really dislike anything Disney. I went there twice and hated it. It takes up too many resources, breaks too many rules, is too expensive and really disapoints.
