How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2025....

Hi, kids. I didn't get up until after 7. So I'm a slug already today. So? ;)

There is no plan for today because I haven't had time to think of one. The lawn needs to be mowed, but it rained again last night, and it's too squishy to even try. Mow tomorrow? Nope. More rain tonight.

I'm getting tired of rain. The long-range forecast was for a warmer and drier than normal summer.

My early walk at 7 temp was 63 as I went around the building, hear robins saw couple people walking their dogs before breakfast
Last week, I told Marcia I could dog sit,my 'buddy boy', Tage while she goes to church for a couple of hrs, she was thrilled ,will pick me up at 11:30. I'll be bringing my lunch,so we can'share' it
tuna fish petite carrots, an apple. He never begs ,just sits patiently waiting to see what I'll give him
When I get home hope to take another walk if its not raining
It won't be as warm as it was yesterday, today high's in the 70's

Yesterday was spent running errands with my Mom. We got a lot accomplished, but more problems came up. First of all, the speedometer on her car isn't working right. Also, the back window of her car went down (while we were not there) and won't go back up....so, of course, it poured before we got home.

So that's the next thing I need to have taken care of.

It looks like it's going to be a beautiful day. I'm hoping to go to the gym later.

Bye, all!

Doing okay. Sun is out. Fans are on. Music is playing.

I have a dental appointment Thursday because I failed to duck a flying object. I cracked one of my front teeth!! Oh well.

I'm about to get into it with my internet provider, but that's a topic for a whole other thread.

Pepper, my dog, blew out her right hind leg ACL about 4 days ago. I've seen this injury before (twice) in a different dog, who has since passed.

I've taken her outside (on a leash and collar) 4 times today and the day is only 4 hours old. She continues to be hyper-interested in the bunnies that are in the yard and not on relieving herself.

Sigh.

Well it's really hot out there.. the streets are empty.. no-one around, the supermarket shelves have been stripped of fruit and salad fixings...good thing I only needed a few things.

First tho' I cleared the barn of stuff that's not needed any more , and loaded it all in my car... and then a giant bag of clothing for the charity shop.

I took some furnishings to the recycle centre and because they're in such good condition they go on the ''too good to throw'' section, and the recycle centre sells them... then I drove a mile further to donate my big bag of clothing, and Brica-brac...to the hospice shop

Then 2 miles further to the supermarket.. the car park was almost empty but the shelves were stripped... ..anyway I got everything I needed..... and now I have space in the barn to shift things around, and get the new lawnmower out of it's box and put together...

Oh no! Terrible news. I hope your dog recovers soon. I shall give my own dog a hug in support.

Given that the call isn't for another week yet, Llynn...does that tell you anything or no ?
I'm not sure. I have notes from the CT scan but it's all in doctor talk and hard for me to interpret. As far as I can make out it reveals me to be in pretty good health except for where the cancer is and so far it hasn't responded to treatment. Guess I'll find out in a week.

I really would love to go on a mushroom hunt with an expert and learn the types that are safe. Until then, I'll buy the regular ole mushrooms in the store. We've had some in the yard that I think are OK but not worth it to find out the hard way that they're not.

My friend who spent many years in France was accustomed to having her mushrooms checked at the pharmacy. Here in Georgia they thought she was nuts.
