Most inspiring movie you have seen.

I can't name just one movie. Some of these would not be considered inspiring at all by most people, but each of them had a way of inspiring me. My favorite movie of all time is in bold.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde - Spencer Tracy, 1941
The Trip To Bountiful - Geraldine Page, 1985
The Doctor - William Hurt, 1991
Leaving Las Vegas - Nicolas Cage, 1995
The Straight Story - Richard Farnsworth, 1999
The Family Man - Nicolas Cage, 2000
The Mountain Between Us - Kate Winslet, 2017

@MACKTEXAS, We enjoy some of the same movies: The Doctor, Leaving Las Vegas and Family Man.

Given that, I tried to find, The Mountain Between Us as I am a Kate Winslet fan, but alas, it is not currently playing on any platforms I use.

I'll have to wait. Thank you for mentioning it; I hadn't heard about it, previous.

My Trip to Bountiful made me almost psychotic. I made my kids promise me they wouldn't ever let that happen to me (altho now I don't even recall exactly what that was).

I saw The Mountain Between Us at the theater when it came out. I wish I owned it, but no. Would like to see it again.

Rocky. I feel stupid for even mentioning this one but it did help me one time to get really fit and stay that way which helped me in many aspects of life.

Otherwise, I found a Night to Remember most inspiring. It was about the night the Titanic sank and the heroes who were on board many of them helping others survive. I thought it was better than Titanic because it was factual, not a romantic fantasy set against the backdrop of an ocean liner sinking.

can i have a go now?????? - got the dvd behind me on the shelf - had it for a few years now and i guess you either like em or don't but a much younger robert redforth and meryl streep in ???????????? guess wot? I studied around the film have several books by the lady in question that loved him and lost him and studied some semi- docos of her life back in europe - as she never ever went back to where she met him?? quiz this time but will give you this easy one? - I just adore it - being a bit of an old romantic when the wolf howls and moon is full??

Up - 2009

Revisited this movie when I hit '70.
Had more meaning as I got older.

I need a movie that starts with a good story, then they can fill it in with visual treats.
This one filled both, Great story and visually inspired.
