Nice. I blogged and ran with some of the bigger circles once, years ago. I made all of it private and now just keep one that I write in sporadically. :)
 

Well I am not sure what I did to my shoulder yesterday but it is hurting today. I started a few days ago putting the stationary walker on the other side of the recliner (which is where I sleep). So I use it when I get up from the recliner to look out the window (because I hear a noise) or turn off the fairy lights for the night. Maybe using it is what triggered my shoulder pain. I will not use it for now and see if that is the culprit.

It used to be my right hand was hurting. I taught myself to use my left hand for drinks. Now I have to switch, at least for now. I think it is good to be able to use either hand. I used to have an aunt who could do that. Of course, she was mentally ill (seriously) so maybe that was why. I wish I could teach myself to write with either hand but no way can I do that. If I ever lose my right hand I will be in trouble.

Saturday night there was a live concert or show (I don't really know what it was) in the theater that is in the other half of our building. Talk about loud music and applause! Whatever it was they had a huge crowd. They use our elevator for handicap people to go to the show. They watch from the theater balcony. I haven't gone to another show since seeing The Wizard of Oz, which was very good. It is just that I hate going to things with lots of people. And sitting that long in one place gets me antsy.

Prayers for your shoulder to mend quickly. Shoulder injuries can effect so much! The neck, back, etc.

That would be great to use both hands equally. I am right handed and my left one just sits there like it is learning impaired.
 
Having my coffee and making my list of things I need to do. Yesterday I did not get much done so will make up for that today. I will probably take a walk because I have to take my son's SNAP re-certification paper to the social service office. He doesn't get much because of his income but every little bit counts. Since I am his payee rep (for his SS check) I do all his paperwork. He can't do it. I am thankful the county office building is within walking distance. About 2 blocks away. Then on the way back I will walk through the park so better take my camera with me.

My shoulder does not hurt as much this morning. Not something I normally do, but last night I took a couple of Tylenol (that is all I had). So maybe that helped? I was able to sleep better. I do think it is because of that stationary walker. Today I will move the other walker (the brand new Rollator one that I have not used yet) so I can use that when getting up during the night. I will see how that works.

Yesterday I walked 2 laps around my hallway. I plan on doing that again. When I used to walk it with my friend I was up to 9 laps. I need to get back to that now. Movement is important for Lymphedema and I must not forget that. It is easy for me to get involved with the computer and not move.
 
I took my walk to the county office building. I survived it even though it was really hard. But I did not take a break even once. Walked there, stood in a short line and walked home. Easy but I felt it. Thankful it was kind of chilly. That made it easier.

Now I am having another cup of coffee (my 3rd, which I don't normally do). I was thinking about doing laundry but will take a break here and see how I feel. Maybe.

the frustration must be awful.. to know that you were very capable, strong, and active in your past life... must make it all the harder to bear now you're disabled, and unable to manage much at any one time

Very frustrating! When I am sitting here in my chair at my computer...........I feel like I can do anything! Till I get up. Oh well, that is life and I have to believe there is a reason for everything I go through. Just can't figure out what it is. I know my burden is not as hard as many others have. So going to stop my complaining and just deal with it one step at a time. :)
 
Last night was much easier with the rollator walker by the recliner instead of the stationary one. My shoulder still hurts but feels like it is going away.

Today my plan is to order groceries for my son. Then working on my budget sheet for June. I know my rent will have gone up but nobody has told me yet what it will be. The manager is still out of work. I swear she is sicker than any of us who live here. She is nice and I like her but she is always out of work. Now I would be happy if they would just hire one who wants this job. Jeff's went up by eleven dollars so mine would probably be less than that. Goes by how much of a COLA raise we get. Mine was way less than his.

Having my coffee and making a list of what I need to do this week.
 
I have done a number of things today on my list. I did two loads of laundry and glad that I did not do towels and bedding. Just my clothing. There are 4 dryers in the laundry room and they are all out of order. So I washed my laundry and hung it in my shower and on the drying rack. Cools off my apartment which would be okay if it was warm today. Not warm. Raining and cool. If it gets too cool I can always turn the heat back on. Do not want my bunny boy getting cold.

Right now I am in the middle of making keto chow for ice cream. I didn't really want to do it but I like to have ice cream (keto meal replacement shake that I make into ice cream). After this I might try to take a little nap. I never do that but I feel exhausted today. Maybe because my shoulders are both hurting now. Could be from hanging the clothing in the shower where I have to reach up to hang them on the rod. If I ever have to move from here I want an apartment with a washer and dryer in the apartment. That would make such a difference here!
 
Well Sonny keeps life interesting that is for sure. He is on the fair board for the Afton fair so does a lot of things through out the summer with that. He bought a cotton candy machine and all the stuff that goes with it. The sugar, bags, ties, etc. whatever else he needs. So he is going to sell cotton candy at the fair and maybe at the various races he works with too. I know I won't be sampling any of it!

The laundry hanging in here did make it cold last night. I turned on the heat. Woke up to rain again. About 45 degrees and not supposed to get much warmer. That is fine with me as I have things to do at home.

My friend with Dementia has fallen twice in this month. Emergency squad had to come help her get up. In her circumstance it would probably be best for her to be in a nursing home. It is too much for her husband, who just had his kidney removed and is recuperating from that operation. Right now their daughter is there and she is trying to get an aide or some kind of help for them. Everyone says call the office of the aging. They never return your calls. Not ever! I keep trying to get an aide for myself and have the same problem. Today I am going to call UHC and see what they can do for me.

There is a family operated maple syrup producer in Tully N Y that sells maple cotton candy mix.

I just spent almost an hour cleaning my Ninja Creami ice cream maker. I watched a video on how to repair one and saved that to my ice cream playlist on YT. Mine is not broken. Just get frustrated trying to clean it. That is one thing I wish they would do.......make it easier to thoroughly clean. This guy turned it upside down. Not easy for me as this is a very heavy machine. I did it though.

Used my straw cleaning brush, the wire on a pierced earring and a toothpick to clean the part (a shaft) that spins around and goes into the container. Ice cream was hardened around that. Hard to clean so turning it upside down helped a lot. Now it is very clean! I will clean it more thoroughly every time I use it from now on.
 
Maybe you remember that my husband (still married, just not together), Larry had a stroke and his son had abused him and trashed our house? I emailed him last night to ask him how he was making out. I have been worried about him out there alone and if his son is coming around to torment him. He answered me back this morning. Said his son has not tried to contact him or anything. He said he is doing better.

In fact, his Walmart grocery delivery driver's husband has become his friend. He is coming out there and helping him. He fixed everything that had been ruined or needed repairs. I am so thankful for them! There are a lot of nice people in this world. :)

Because it has been so cold, my laundry did not dry completely. That meant I could not use my shower. Frustrating! So I have it hung all over wherever I could find a spot. It is almost dry but not completely unless it is just cold so that makes it feel like it is damp.

I am confused as to why my knees hurt worse when I use the vibration plate. They are supposed to feel better or at least a little better. Every video I watch about this show people having great results with it. People with Lyphedema say the swelling goes down when using a vibration plate..........well that doesn't happen with me either. When I first used it, the swelling did go down and I felt like I could walk better. Not now. I am researching this to see if I am doing something wrong. Low speed, 5 minutes, seated.
