Do You Have a Recliner?

We had them as far back as 1988 (I was 28 then) and up until April, had one in a van for the past 9 years (BPH issues) so getting up was easier. When I get an apartment, I'll probably get another one.

One thing I would say also is that I at Yakima when I was living there I was offered a electric recliner that I was going to purchase for $50 but another Resident begged me to let him buy it so I said you have to double my offer and he paid $100 for it as his was needing replacement.

After that I realized that unless I really needed it I wasn't going to have one of those that helped lift you out of the chair to a standing position since my legs still work.

But I will buy a regular one.

Old people! I believe the first piece of furniture I ever bought was a recliner and I was about 22. All our other stuff was passed down from our parents and grandparents.

I've had at least one ever since. I'd guess each one lasts about eight years and then we get a new one. Our latest one is extra large and came from Big Sandy. My husband lives in it, often remaining in it all night, but usually coming to bed by three like Shedevil.

Sleeping in a recliner, with head slightly elevated is good for anyone with heart trouble, A-Fib, poor leg circulation, Acid Reflux, and many other problems.

I have 4 recliners. Both the sofa and the love seat have recliners on both ends. I also have one really nice chair that is a real pleasure to sit in. I don’t know what they call it. I saw it in the furniture store, so I sat in it and looked at the sales lady and told her to send it along with the sofa and love seat. It’s by far the most comfortable chair and ottoman I ever sat in.

I wish! We have 2 lift chairs cost a fortune and his works well for him. My lift chair is basically brand new because I don't use it as a lift chair, fact is I just don't need it. If DH's chair dies on him, he can actually use mine. Then I could get me a nice recliner.
