I pulled the Lawn Tractor into the Shop today and hoisted it up, took off the blades and sharpened them. Drained the oil & new Motor oil.. greased it and its Good to go again.

tune up next trip along with the golf Carts for summer usage coming up quick with Kid’s
and Grandchildren wanting to play disc golf too. Mid summers and 4th of July too.

Called for a Monday appointment for car service. Routine except for a "check engine" emission control warning I'm having them look at. I'd driven about half an hour, got groceries, and restarting the notification came on. Drove back but I saw nothing unusual in terms of performance, mileage, noises, and there were no odd smells. Perhaps a bad sensor.

They seem to have gotten rid of their courtesy vans. Now if you need rides they pay for Uber.
It may be one of the sensors of a cat. That is failing. Usually the up stream one?

Ouch! My Uncle Bill suffered for years from Stomach Ulcers, made it into his mid 70’s.
I miss the good natured man. He only talked good stuff with me. His son joined the
Clerical corp of the 101ST. served Vietnam, and Europe NATO, stationed in Brussels.

He even was personal Aid for General Omar Bradley. Said he was a good old guy.

We had some great times and toured most of the Mid-western and west USA together + Northern Mexico. Now lives in the Pheonix area. Works for the US treasury. :ROFLMAO:
I burnt my cheeks when I smiled and skin touched my pilots glasses in a Parking lot there.

Good morning, a little rain overnight but looks to be sunny today. I am waiting for my grocery delivery. It seems I get a new shopper most of the time. The one today looks like they are doing it well. Sometimes they leave part of someone else's delivery or forget something on my delivery. The store is really good at making things right.

I hope everyone is staying well and if not, they get better. Enjoy the day to everyone. :)

OMG Hawkie... this is awful... I hope by the time you read this the pain has started to ease.. 🤗

Very sunny & warm today.... ☀️ ☀️ ☀️

I'm a little bit irritated because I checked the forecast all week to see what it would do for the weekend so I could make plans to go out, and it kept saying cloudy... so I didn't go out.. and now its beautiful...

I can't go tomorrow because I have the gardener coming... I could normally leave him to do his own thing without me here, but I want to task him to assemble the new lawnmower when he's here, and I don't want to leave that out of the shed with the gate unlocked...

I intended to post about my yesterday, but y'all know what happened. It was a great day. In the morning I went to my Honorary Son #3's studio and we started working on one of his tracks. I was expecting to have to play something on the midi keyboard, but turns out I didn't even need to do that. The Logic music production program has amazing instrument and loop features that allowed us to (thus far) use digital instruments and arrangements that matched what was playing on the track! It's amazing really.

Of course, we had to go through several instruments to find just what we wanted. He was ecstatic with how it's turning out. I'm happy with it too. Still a lot more to do though before he can release the track. He's green when it comes to music production, even though he's an incredibly talented composer, among other things. But between my son, online bestie, YouTube "university" and me, he'll learn the craft.

HS#3 and I made our Amazon Fresh run in the evening. I picked up orange chicken from their hot bar and a prepared Fiesta salad bowl for dinner, since I had no idea what else to have. It was good...I'd get it again. Today I intend to put away the rest of laundry that I did a couple of days ago, dust and clean my floors. In the evening, I'll head over to HS#3's studio and observe him while he does his broadcast.

I've just been in the garden attempting to asssemble the new lawnmower.. I thought if I can do it myself, I can go out tomorrow and leave the gardener to do his thing....

However , I can't follow the instructions, so I've come in to see if there's a video on youtube that I can watch.

I'm a little bit concerned about this new mower, because it has the same grass cutting collector at first sight, as the one I had to return ( different make)...which just wouldn't stay on when I mowed... so I'll see what happens...

Well that was a waste of time, and back pain... I just can't get the lawnmower to go together. There's tutorials on youtube, but not for this particular model. so the others in the same range have a different method of assembly...I'm screechin' with frustration...

During cleaning and organizing I found a box of goodies. My Olympus cameras, battery chargers, and quite a few Xd Picture Cards containing unfiled photos. My venerable desktop PC still has a slot for those and the older SmartMedia cards, but I also have a couple of USB adapters.

Also a 1.5 in square, thin Zigbee temperature and humidity sensor I didn't remember I had. New CR2032 installed and it fired right up and my Zigbee hub found it with no trouble. Now I can monitor one more room in the house via Alexa. Basement, garage, and shed are already "instrumented."

Not a fan of coin cells over AAs or even AAAs as in my others, but at least those are cheaper these days.

Good morning - Happy Saturday, the last day of May.

Had a great day with 15 month old GS yesterday. Napped when he did, making up for my short sleep the night before. Another hot afternoon coming today. Tomorrow's temps will be ten degrees lower, so that's when we'll have TGS. It'll be cool enough for him to ride his balance bike on our route around the neighborhood, or to ride in the stroller if he's feeling lazy. It's about 1-1/4 miles - a long way for three year old legs, and he's gotten too big to carry for any distance if he gets tired.

Business work is finished, no grandkids today, the house is clean, and life is good. I'll curl up with a book after finishing breakfast.

Hope you all make yours a great day!

welp it is 1130am here, fairly sunny out, and I'm still alive....
Heat, Pain pill, Ice bag, all in a days work now....maybe 25percent better than when I got up today.....am thinking I may
have to go to doc's and ask for hip exray or mri or something,
see if they can give me shots in the hip, cause I am having
serious difficulty walking just here in the house...achyness is
one thing, but these sharp pains are bothersome to say the
least......sorry but I won't be joining any run's or walk's today!! :cool: ;) :devilish::cry:🧑‍🦽🕶️

All we can do is try. I have got to read the book that came with mine. Seems son never hooked up everything for the electric start to be used. That is what I need, I can't yank the start cable anymore.

If I can get that to work I think I can mow. It is self propelled so I would just need to walk behind it. He will have to come edge. I can't lift the gas powered edger.

We still get points for doing everything we can!!

Well, I'm nothing if I'm not determined... I had another go at it... and Finally, I got it to go together.... what a Faff...!!!

Fancy!! I have never seen a space age looking mower.
I could have just waited and asked the gardener to do it tomorrow..after all he uses his own Industrial mower, not mine... and I use my own for quick trims in between visits from him... but I do try to do things by myself wherever possible..use it or lose it..they say..... and also it means if I want to go out tomorrow I can go and just leave him to let himself in....

Today is my son‘s 52nd birthday so that really makes me feel old. In six weeks I’ll be 71. I’m going to take him out for lunch because his wife works today. On Wednesday the three of us are going to go to a really fancy restaurant for dinner my treat, of course.

We have been 17° above normal so very hot. Yesterday we were 96 and they’re predicting that we may break a record today and be 99. I’ve been walking the dogs really early if I can. If I can’t, I usually wait till 7 o’clock at night but last night it was still 80° at seven so still too hot.
