Joe's wife gives him the OK to run!

This is great news as another hurdle to his becoming a candidate has been cleared. I am excited by this development and so should you. I am also friending him on Facebook to encourage his running as requested by the committee to draft Biden. Go, Joe, go!

I hope it becomes Biden over Hillary. He seems to be much more honest and reliable than Hillary has ever been. But maybe I am wrong on that. Exposure will tell us the truth. Then the campaign winner will be able to stand for the vote.

Does anyone else see this as a bit weird? If Joe were Josephine... and we had a thread about Josephine's husband finally giving her permission to run we ladies would be up in arms... Doesn't this bother you guys?

Why would it? Most men make major decisions in concert with their wives.

What I am saying is that in this day... it wouldn't be well received in the reverse.. Suppose Hillary was just deciding if she was going to run and we said that finally Bill gave his permission for her to do so.. It just wouldn't be said...

I wouldn't be up in arms. I don't think that Jill gave him her "permission" to run, as if he were a child. But as Jim said, many decisions, especially big ones like running for president would be done with a lot of forethought and discussion from both husband and wife. He's still grieving over the loss of his son, she'll be at his side in the spotlight for this whole thing, so as a couple she has a lot of input. I think she just validated her "support" for her husband.

I don't see it weird at all, either way.

Not up in arms at all... Just pointing out the inconsistency of how it's acceptable to talk differently about men and women...

Never mind... I was just making an innocent observation... not making commentary... Guess I just didn't explain it very well...

Supposedly celebrities like George Clooney would rather back Biden than Hillary or Sanders.
