How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2025....

Hi to everyone, a really hot day today and thunderstorms this afternoon.

I went out to water my gardenia plant and saw my water hose pulled away from my patio instead of coiled.
I think someone was using my water for themselves. I will have to watch every time I go out. I don't know why it was pulled out there straight.

I hope you are all well and enjoy your day. :)

~Lab appointment this morning. The lab is in another town but from the time we left to the time we got back home was only53 minutes.

~I did more reorganizing and found better solutions for storing items. I don't know why I don't come up with better ways in the first place!

~ I will be one of the guests for a round table discussion on Honorary Son #3's radio show this evening.

~I’m hoping to be able to relax and watch T.V. when I get back home.

Well I changed my mind when the sun came out, and I took myself off to the cty, thinking that it would be quiet because today was 92 deg F.. and so half the country would be at the beaches... and I was right the city was very quiet for a Saturday....

I went to Regents park.. took the cable car from Greenwich over to the tower of London..didn't go in the tower.. just a had a little wander ( Bimble my DD calls it) around and took some photos.. Went over to Camden market... and the canal wtih all it's colourful narrowboats.. and then caught the train home.....the tube was SUPER hot !!

It's now 8.15pm... it's still very hot.. the forecast says we'll get rain in the early hours of the morning, I absolutely hope so...

I don’t think we have magpies in S GA (if I’m thinking of the same bird you are, @Deya
we have magpies everywhere here... they're very noisy..... it's supposed to be unlucky to see just one so you have to greet it by saying ''good morning your majesty how's your wife today''.. to avert the bad luck

It loks B&W frm a distance but up close it's tail is blue & purple

Not our own pool, just a place where we can swim laps. But it's heated and we can swim year-round.

I envy you your ability to take a train into London and wander around. We can go to Washington, but it takes two hours by train and we never seem to think of it.
Central London is just 20 miles from me door to door.... despite the fact that I live in the countrside.... so the train takes just 30 minutes ...I can be in North London by train in 10 minutes.... or drive and it takes me 20 minutes

Just so y'all know, one of the benefits of living alone is that you can eat ice cream straight out of the carton. It tastes better that way, and beats putting it in a bowl. If you put too much in the bowl, you'll finish it even if you don't want more. If you don't put enough in the bowl, then you'll be annoyed because you'll either have to get up to get more or go without when you're not satisfied. Straight out of the carton? Just right.

There is no charge for this bit of important information. You're welcome.

@hollydolly I've been to Regents Park. Isn't that where there's a band concert around noon every day? And the heart of London...hustle, bustle.

There are some serious busy-body people about. I have just been reading anarticle titled: "Dressing in an Age Appropriate Manner." Since when did we have thought police who disapprove if we don't dress in the way that they don't see fit?

Today I shall attend church in a striped blazer, plain beige coloured shirt with a right over the top, bowtie. My baggy trousers wouldn't have looked out of place back in the 1930's, nor would the two tone spectator shoes. And I don't give a cuss what anyone thinks.
