I couldn't guess then. You are lucky if you have no Magpies. Real pest and noisy.I don’t think we have magpies in S GA (if I’m thinking of the same bird you are, @Deya

we have magpies everywhere here... they're very noisy..... it's supposed to be unlucky to see just one so you have to greet it by saying ''good morning your majesty how's your wife today''.. to avert the bad luckI don’t think we have magpies in S GA (if I’m thinking of the same bird you are, @Deya
CS that definitely looks like the feather of an OWLWow look at the feather I found in the yard! Not sure what bird it came from but it sure wasn’t a sparrow!!

Ah, another good suggestion. My son thought it might be from a turkey (we have both around here).CS that definitely looks like the feather of an OWL

I do miss having a pool very much....Hot again. Cleaned up the house before the cleaning ladies arrived, then swam 25 laps. Went out with wife to buy a shirt for a wedding and spent much more than planned. Then we went to Trader Joe's. Home now and not going anywhere until tonight when we have dinner at a friend's.
Not our own pool, just a place where we can swim laps. But it's heated and we can swim year-round.I do miss having a pool very much....
Central London is just 20 miles from me door to door.... despite the fact that I live in the countrside.... so the train takes just 30 minutes ...I can be in North London by train in 10 minutes.... or drive and it takes me 20 minutesNot our own pool, just a place where we can swim laps. But it's heated and we can swim year-round.
I envy you your ability to take a train into London and wander around. We can go to Washington, but it takes two hours by train and we never seem to think of it.
there Soitenly is , you are correct there is a Bandstand in Regents Park here be it..I didn't take a photo today never saw anyone playing on iit today..but here's one from GoogleJust so y'all know, one of the benefits of living alone is that you can eat ice cream straight out of the carton. It tastes better that way, and beats putting it in a bowl. If you put too much in the bowl, you'll finish it even if you don't want more. If you don't put enough in the bowl, then you'll be annoyed because you'll either have to get up to get more or go without when you're not satisfied. Straight out of the carton? Just right.
There is no charge for this bit of important information. You're welcome.
@hollydolly I've been to Regents Park. Isn't that where there's a band concert around noon every day? And the heart of London...hustle, bustle.
